I wonder what the thought process was. Pay an arm and a leg to retain Rodgers then piss him off by trading his favourite target.

I'm beginning to wonder if Billicheat is a genius or the other 31 teams are just morons.

Yeah why would you sign rodgers for 150 mil then trade Adams?? The rest of the WRs are average while Adams was a pure beast.

Adams told them he refused play under the tag. No money left for him after signing A-Aron.
Makes you wonder if they're just spending a lot of money to prove a point to Rodgers. Somebody must have calculated that the one thing they couldn't do was cut Rodgers loose. Winning doesn't matter as long as they fill the seats and sell merchandise.

If you were the Steelers and could go back in time and trade LeVeon Bell for what the Packers got for Adams, wouldn’t you jump at the chance? Its essentially the same situation.

the math didn't add to keep both

what did they get for him?

I don't believe anybody, including the Steelers organization believed Bell would sit out the season. Looking back accepting a trade like that would have been the obvious choice. After Bell sat out the season Green Bay decided to blink.

Bottom line really is owners nor players really give a **** about winning. TV revenue comes in by the truckload. All the seats are filled and merchandise is sold. Fans are left for suckers believing their teams actually give a crap.

Packers 2022 draft
1. WR
2. WR
3. WR
4. WR
5. WR
6.. WR
7. WR

Glad the Steelers didn't buy that Rodgers farm. They'd be in deep **** trying to sign anyone of significance while their massive qb investment got smashed behind a bad line,rb had another season of getting hammered as soon as he got the ball and the defense set rushing records against it.

It is said Adams actually took less money than the Packers offered him. It was his dream to play for the Raiders.

Guess we get to see who was holding up who in Green Bay

That franchise will have some challenging times ahead

YOU bet they will. The trickle effect will come all the way around to face Aaron in the eye and when that is there he will retire. They put all the eggs into his basket knowing he may retire at anytime. I guess though if he retired that would be the best case for the Packers.

Adams will quickly find out Carr is not Rodgers.
Adams and Carr were teammates at Fresno State and are close friends. He knows what he's getting into and although Carr isn't Rodgers, he's a pretty good QB.

Tomlin reads this forum and could see the path he needed to take. There might be a little "crazy" due to his obsession with Coach's post(s) but in the end Coach Tomlin will get it right. Tomlin's handlers keep trying to get him to put Coach on ignor but Tomlin just seems to be obsessed kinda like draft picks playing when the better player sits.

KEEP our voices strong............. with time we will wear Coach Tomlin down as the proof is this year's frea agency rap. (LeVeon is developing a steelers FA rap video as we speak hoping it will get his foot in the door of resigning him, he wants out of (our) coach's trade to cleveland)

I’m pretty sure some owners care about winning or we wouldn’t see the mega deals like Rogers got. Winning increases merchandise sales and stadium revenue from home playoff games.

PPG reports that the Packers were willing to match the offer but Adams said he wanted to leave. So this was an obvious decision for the Packers.

This is what I thought when I heard this news... The Steelers should have done exactly this with the Leveon Bell situation. Hindsight.
