I think a big part of that right now is he's playing with a pretty significant injury since early in the first game.
And a lot has to do with the moronic play sequencing. Harris rips off a long run, defense is running to huddle, run a quick no-huddle where Kenny calls the play at the LOS. Don't let the defense sub. If they try to run guys on the field, snap the ball and get free yards.
Keep the defense from subbing once you get the advantage. Steelers converted on a 3rd and 10, and they huddle up. That is the time to get to the LOS and force Houston to burn a timeout or try to stop a running play with their dime defense on the field.
Nope. Steelers are the only team in the NFL that will not run no-huddle or hurry-up muddle huddle to keep the D from subbing. Jesus, you'd think they would have noticed one of the 150 times the opponents did it to them, but nope. "Let's plod to the huddle and let the defense get 3 subs in the game to stop what they KNOW will be Cana-DUH's next play call."
Gentry is on Cinci practice squad. Make it so.
His blocked and that of our OL is much worse than expected this year. One player can be chocked up to performance but when it is the entire group struggling (especially after what we just saw the Texans do with 3rd stringers), it is 100% coaching. OL and OC and even HC.

This is because we over specialize plays, so basically if you see who we have in and how we line up, you can get a reasonable idea of what we are doing… heaven forbid we run something with the wrong guys in there… they aren’t optimal for that play so apparently that means it won’t work or something
