we had our very own strangulation expert MR Cam Sutton who was rewarded with a one year contract after the deed.
Which I always thought was mighty big of our dear organization. How did it turn out? It’s good to see that the Steelers gave him a little extra cash so that his big money lawyer could get him off after completing the program. What a joke. It was nice of them to give Mike Vick a little extra reward as well so that he could get over the fact that he murdered dogs. What a joke.
Yes, according to a police affidavit and multiple reports, NFL player
Cameron Sutton was accused of choking his longtime girlfriend and mother of his three children to the point of briefly losing consciousness during a domestic violence incident in March 2024.
The police affidavit details a physical altercation in which Sutton allegedly picked up the woman, slammed her against a wall, bit her neck, and choked her until she briefly lost consciousness. He also reportedly held her down by her hair and struck her.
A felony arrest warrant for domestic battery by strangulation was issued in Florida. Sutton avoided authorities for almost two weeks before surrendering.
The felony charge was reduced to misdemeanor battery, and Sutton resolved the case through a pretrial diversion program. He was suspended by the NFL for eight games due to violating the personal conduct policy, and his legal case was reportedly dismissed after he completed the program.
Michael Vick, a former NFL quarterback, was involved in a federal dogfighting case in 2007 where he admitted to funding a multi-state dogfighting ring known as
"Bad Newz Kennels" and participating in the killing of several underperforming dogs.
Details of the Case
- Discovery: In April 2007, authorities investigating a drug case involving Vick's cousin raided a property owned by Vick in Surry County, Virginia. They discovered a large-scale dogfighting operation, seizing 66 dogs (mostly pit bulls), a blood-stained fighting pit, and dog-training equipment, including a "rape stand" for forced breeding.
- Methods of Killing: Court documents and witness statements revealed that dogs which did not perform well in test fights were killed using extremely violent methods. Vick admitted to agreeing to and participating in the deaths of approximately six to eight dogs, which were killed by methods including:
- Hanging them with a nylon cord over a 2x4 nailed to trees.
- Drowning them in a five-gallon bucket of water.
- Slamming their bodies to the ground until they died.
- In an earlier incident, a dog was electrocuted after being wetted down with water and having jumper cables attached to its ears from a car battery.
These were only the ones he got caught with. He let his buddies take the fall for more.
Signing Vick was one of the lowlights of this once proud organization. It’s Hard for me to be critical of other organizations when Our own **** stinks plenty.
