1. Trade Tomlin
Bears give Steelers #37 & #71 and a 2026 2nd.

2. Hire Ben Johnson

3. Sign either Russ to an incentive laid contract or Fields.

Draft-
RD1- Wyatt Milum OT WVU
Can play LT, RT or guard. I let him and Jones fight it out for LT. Kick Troy in to guard. Offensive line fixed.

RD2a- Tre Harris WR Ole Miss
Maybe not a burner but elite route running and hands.

RD2b- Alfred Collins DT Texas
We have some free agents and Heyward isn’t getting younger. Collins demands double teams and is a great penetrating player.

RD3a- Jack Sawyer Edge OSU
Can never have too many pass rushers. This gives us perhaps a Herbig Sawyer Duo in 2-3 years.

RDb-

I’d hold out 1 more year for Allar from PSU.

Try to snag Skateebo from ASU this year, and then grab Parker Kingston from BYU in the later rounds for WR help.

I would also ask if the Jets are willing to give and 1 pick and next year 2nd for MT, hire Ben Johnson or Flores, entire staff aside from April fired, OC poach Beneniamy or if you get Johnson he brings someone from Motown, DC if Flores someone that helped him design the scheme he has been using in Minny, copy it and install, cover 2 tossed and we are 4-3 under with CB man to man.
Do t want Russ back give Fields a 2-year incentive-based deal or see if for mid-round picks you can get JJ McCarthy if so u let Fields go and Russ back at 1 yr 8- base with hard incentives—and open competition with Russ.
The following players are gone with no consideration of the offer
-OT Moore
-MLB Holecomb to costly
- S Kazee
- Jefferson
- Skowronek
if Jets wont give pick 6-7 ask for 39 65 for MT

21 dt Grant
39 top CB
53WR Higgens
65 RB Mullings only if harris not extended
85OT Trapillo

James Daniels will cost to much and it will create a bidding war instead get into a bidding war for Tee Higgins, Chase has shown he is as good or better than Jefferson but a cheapskate like mike brown will not pay market value for Burrow Chase and Higgins we need a 2 or if we have Tee he is a 1 with George a 2 if we can't find a way to get Tee Higgins use him as leverage if we cant at our highest offer get him here so Cincy is priced out AND ATLEAST THAT WAY He is out of the division.
Target Deebo Jennings Kupp
Some vet swing man OT

would hope ol looks like this
Jones
Semu
Frazier
Mason
Fautauni

Spencer
McCollum
Herbig
Rookie swing T

Letting out some steam after watching same no-creativity game plan if going 4 wide with this line both picking and Austin should on first down been running slants and mouth coming 4 yards and inside cross with either pickens or Austin. and the 4th down run to warren why hand off you bunch every one or give it to him behind u not 4 yards back n tell the te n russ push the pile like Philly *** push

Still have that Troy to G agenda.

Troy will be the RT next year and the Steelers will not be drafting a T in one. A DE, CB, or WR perhaps. A T… nope.

This is earlier than I wanted to do an offseason thread, but why not?

1. Trade Tomlin
I think you way undervalued Tomlin. I think a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd is the starting point and that could be spread over multiple seasons.
Bears give Steelers #41, 2026 1st and 3rd

2. Hire Ben Johnson
I'm good with this one. The goal would to also be to add the best available OL coach and DC.

3. Sign either Russ to an incentive laid contract or Fields.
I'm good with this as well.

4. Trade George Pickens / Sign Chris Godwin
I'm looking to get a top 40 pick for Pickens. Let's go with #37 from Patriots for Pickens. Spotrac has Godwin at $22.6 million per year. A lot hinges on his recovery from an ankle injury, but he's only 28 and won't command what Higgins will get.

Draft-
RD1- Derrick Harmon, IDL, Oregon
I wanted to go CB here, I just don't know if that's where the value is. Harmon was one of a few bright spots for Oregon against Ohio State in the playoffs.

RD2a (from New England)- Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
Productive cornerback who would be a playmaker for the defense.

RD2b (from Chicago)-
Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss
Harris paired with Godwin on the outside and the combo of Austin/Wilson on the inside is a nice rebuild of the WR room.

RD2c- Trade for a 2026 2nd round pick

RD3- RJ Harvey, RB, UCF
Put him in the underrated category right now. Extremely productive and explosive. Has flashed potential catching the ball.

I like JT out of Ohio State, or Morrison ND corner, or Warren although I know TE wouldn’t be considered a high priority.

Morrison is coming off injury so might be available.

Like the Ohio state DE. (The other Ohio state DE too Sawyer.

For some reason it only posted half.

RD3b- Nick Singleton RB Penn State
Najee likely gone so I get a big play RB. Singleton is a legit 4.3 guy at 220lbs. He’s goof at pass pro and is a decent receiver. Good combo with Warren.

RD4- Jalen Royals WR Utah State
Big play receiver that’s a natural hands catcher. This pick protects if GP leaves after next season.

RD5- Mello Dotson CB Kansas
Outside ballhawk cb who has A+ height but not the fastest. Probably best in zone.

RD7- Kyle McCord QB Syracuse
Big body, big arm, quick compact release. Really turned it up moving on to New York and looking like a pro style QB.

RD7- Hunter Wohler S Wisconsin
Sure tacking safety who at the very least becomes a special team leader with a chance to be a box safety.

RD7- James Burnip P Alabama
Waitman has played well but I don’t want to hand anyone the job. Big legged and big bodied punter who can help in the coverage unit.

Wonderful! The Steelers actually would agree to a no trade clause. They are ****** up if that’s actually true.

Schefter and McAfee reported something about Tomlin.

What was it……

Oh yeah something to the tune of just try to trade me b!tches.

Maybe when AR2 gets mike in to talk about the 3 year extension he is going to give him, they "accidentally" remove the no trade clause. Then as soon as he signs it, they trade his *** to the worst team in the league.

There is no way you trade Tomlin for that little. If they would even entertain a trade offer and if Tomlin would approve it (has a no-trade clause), you better be getting two first-round picks just to start. Then, I'd also look for at least another 2nd and 3rd round pick. That would be the absolute minimum to not get laughed at.

It’s been reported by Schefter and McAfee that Tomlin has a no-trade clause in his contract.

Yaz don’t say,……….. did you you know it was also reported that Coach Tomlin has never had a losing season…………?
