Pickens puts the cherry on top of another embarrassing day

Probably looking to play on an elite professional offense or he was just being nice while snatching a little TV time.

I definitely took it as him wanting to play for a real organization, not one that has been burnt to the ground by a clown coach.

Right now George doesn’t have any control over this or next year’s season. The STEELERS will find a way to keep him as $$$MoMoney$$$$ speaks loud.

Worrying about what any of these clowns are doing is a waste of time.

I personally think that many don’t put in the amount of time to hone or be the best they can be. Just rely on the athletic ability they have and then do just enough to satisfy the minimum needed to keep the coaches off their backs.

Obviously there are a select few who do put in the huge effort, imagine how those players feel after all their commitment to excellency and then to have the shittsssizzle players .

Or maybe he was just giving respect. Or not. Can’t wait to see him on a competent offensive team. Dude would be a monster. The Steelers don’t deserve a level of talent they have no idea how to use.

Good point Sarge, I just can’t imagine ownership sitting there and watching these games and, not thinking there is something wrong with this philosophy / coaching / etc..

Us “street” fans can see a lot, obviously we are not coaches but other teams don’t seem to malfunction near as much. We have had a lot of above the line talent, heck there was a 10yr stretch that Tomlin had one of the most talented teams (player wise) in the nfl and yet……… Nothing but excuses for his short comings.

If by chance you do get the inside answers, let me know as I’ do the same.

George was close to losing it today a couple times. Russ missing him running wide open down the field, or Russ missing the throw when he did try to hit him.

This all starts with Russ getting rattled by the pathetic O-line play.

Where has Pat Meyer’s Coaching ever succeeded, yet alone his scheme? Should have been sent packing, better yet never hired.

No
Tomlin had a 2 time superbowl winning future first ballot hall of fame QB. And The #1 Wr and #1 Rb in the NFL. Statistically the best Wr and RB in the Steelers franchise history. Season for season, touch for touch. Short careers but the production while they were here was on an entirely different level. A level no NFL team has had on the same field at the same time.

Tomlin won nothing with that talent and got smoked by journeymen QB. While his defenses had historic points scored against them in the playoffs.

I can all but guarantee you that the garbage article linked in this post was generated by AI. You can tell because the bombshell headlines for AI articles generally have almost nothing to do with the mundane contents of the article itself. Happens all the time. Just scanned a few suspects right now:

Chiefs' Xavier Worthy hit with penalty after touchdown, sparks fan frenzy

Supposed "Fan Frenzy" Link

The article makes literally no reference - and I mean none - to any "fan frenzy." Oh, the idiotic AI also brilliantly observes in the article, "The Chiefs have had struggles all season but still had a 14-1 record entering the Week 17 matchup against the Steelers."

Uhh, okay - struggles all season. Sure. You bet.

A massive amount of the articles now on home pages/search engines are AI generated and pure garbage. Ignore them.

Russ has looked just like all of our other QBs have over the last 5 years. Good games. Bad games. Average games. Up to Rooney to put blame where he sees it fits. We have at least 2 more games left. Let's see how they shake out I guess for now. I don't know.

That said....as bad as our Offense has been. There is a good argument that our Defense has been worse.

That kid is damned if he does and damned if he don't. It would be interesting to see the numbers he would put up with a elite QB and a for real great head coach, not a wanna be great head coach.
I actually dont blame him. I'd want out of this Busch League outfit as well. I wasn't blaming him for doing it, I was calling our Org. a clownshow.

The GP saga won't end well. The Steelers should try to sign him after this season. After that, if crazy trade offers come in to give us a 1st and other top picks, you'd be foolish not to consider them as long as his deal was structured so we won't have a lot of dead money for several years. GP is a huge talent but he is not happy hear already. Imagine if they had a true WR2 or snagged someone like Higgins after the season. Do you really think that would sit well with him? He'd be losing more targets.

Or, maybe he’d work harder with someone breathing down his neck. Iron sharpens iron, or so I’m told.

I tend to believe that Tomlin thinks he knows Oline teaching techniques too.
Tomlin, being a defensive mind, sees the blocking scheme set up and says "yeah, Cam and Keanu and TJ and Alex can get through that easily" - thinking the OL coach is setting up the scheme for the opponent's OL.

Meyer is awful.
How he is still employed is beyond ridiculous. Way too much talent on this line to be this terrible.
I really hope it has a little to do with rookies hitting that rookie wall but the line play has been bad the last 3 weeks.

The Pickens saga was 100% created by The rooneys, Kahn and Tomlin.
George is an amazing talent. Could be damn near Jefferson/chase level in the right offense. Top 5 in the league potential for sure.

Pickens did not draft garbage at QB, running back, and tackle in the first round. 3 years in a row!. Continously attempting to gaslight the world when it's obvious there are better guys backing them up.
Pickens didnt subject us to 3 years of Harris, jones, and 2 years of KP.
Pickens didn't gut the Wr room this offseason, while overdrafting a high school sized Wr with 1 season of decent production on an offense that won by cheating and sign stealing.
Pickens didn't promise a blockbuster Wr signing all summer and into the season. Then giving us Mike Williams.
Pickens didn't bring in a supposed, run game genius to save us from Matt canada. Smith has made the running game worse with upgrades to the line and Qb.
Pickens didn't make this defense trash over the past 10+ years. Overpaying overrated guys and drafting busts.

But keep making Pickens the scapegoat for the annual offensive and team failures.

Fact is he is the only elite guy on that offense. Warren is a beast but not at the same level of player as george.

If George's attitude is everyone else is the problem. He is 1000% correct and everyone knows it.

Ownership to gm to head coach to coordinators. They are all to blame.

Us fans are sick of this BS. George has to live it. It's his livelihood. The trash he has surrounded himself with is going to hurt his bank account come contract time. Who wouldn't be pissed off if they were in his shoes and had his talent and potential??

He is in a Saquan situation. Uber talented and all going to waste. Held down by a trash team.

LOL, when Pickens quits acting like a petulant child, stops taking plays off (IE the INT that he created yesterday), and starts acting like an elite player, THEN he can talk. Pickens is as much a problem as he is a solution.

Yes Tomlin, rooney, and Kahn were secretly involved with Pickens and his issues at Georgia which caused him to slide in draft and be removed from nfl team draft boards. Man it's everyone else's fault...
