I definitely took it as him wanting to play for a real organization, not one that has been burnt to the ground by a clown coach.Probably looking to play on an elite professional offense or he was just being nice while snatching a little TV time.
Players do that all the time. You're right about the clownshow...It's happening in this forum.
Or maybe he was just giving respect. Or not. Can’t wait to see him on a competent offensive team. Dude would be a monster. The Steelers don’t deserve a level of talent they have no idea how to use.
George was close to losing it today a couple times. Russ missing him running wide open down the field, or Russ missing the throw when he did try to hit him.
This all starts with Russ getting rattled by the pathetic O-line play.
NoGood point Sarge, I just can’t imagine ownership sitting there and watching these games and, not thinking there is something wrong with this philosophy / coaching / etc..
Us “street” fans can see a lot, obviously we are not coaches but other teams don’t seem to malfunction near as much. We have had a lot of above the line talent, heck there was a 10yr stretch that Tomlin had one of the most talented teams (player wise) in the nfl and yet……… Nothing but excuses for his short comings.
If by chance you do get the inside answers, let me know as I’ do the same.

I tend to believe that Tomlin thinks he knows Oline teaching techniques too.Where has Pat Meyer’s Coaching ever succeeded, yet alone his scheme? Should have been sent packing, better yet never hired.

Russ has looked just like all of our other QBs have over the last 5 years. Good games. Bad games. Average games. Up to Rooney to put blame where he sees it fits. We have at least 2 more games left. Let's see how they shake out I guess for now. I don't know.George was close to losing it today a couple times. Russ missing him running wide open down the field, or Russ missing the throw when he did try to hit him.

No
Tomlin had a 2 time superbowl winning future first ballot hall of fame QB. And The #1 Wr and #1 Rb in the NFL. Statistically the best Wr and RB in the Steelers franchise history. Season for season, touch for touch. Short careers but the production while they were here was on an entirely different level. A level no NFL team has had on the same field at the same time.
Tomlin won nothing with that talent and got smoked by journeymen QB. While his defenses had historic points scored against them in the playoffs.
I actually dont blame him. I'd want out of this Busch League outfit as well. I wasn't blaming him for doing it, I was calling our Org. a clownshow. That kid is damned if he does and damned if he don't. It would be interesting to see the numbers he would put up with a elite QB and a for real great head coach, not a wanna be great head coach.
Or, maybe he’d work harder with someone breathing down his neck. Iron sharpens iron, or so I’m told. The GP saga won't end well. The Steelers should try to sign him after this season. After that, if crazy trade offers come in to give us a 1st and other top picks, you'd be foolish not to consider them as long as his deal was structured so we won't have a lot of dead money for several years. GP is a huge talent but he is not happy hear already. Imagine if they had a true WR2 or snagged someone like Higgins after the season. Do you really think that would sit well with him? He'd be losing more targets.
Tomlin, being a defensive mind, sees the blocking scheme set up and says "yeah, Cam and Keanu and TJ and Alex can get through that easily" - thinking the OL coach is setting up the scheme for the opponent's OL.I tend to believe that Tomlin thinks he knows Oline teaching techniques too.

The Pickens saga was 100% created by The rooneys, Kahn and Tomlin. The GP saga won't end well. The Steelers should try to sign him after this season. After that, if crazy trade offers come in to give us a 1st and other top picks, you'd be foolish not to consider them as long as his deal was structured so we won't have a lot of dead money for several years. LOL, when Pickens quits acting like a petulant child, stops taking plays off (IE the INT that he created yesterday), and starts acting like an elite player, THEN he can talk. Pickens is as much a problem as he is a solution. If George's attitude is everyone else is the problem. He is 1000% correct and everyone knows it.
