7-6 PSU......Lion defense has been absolutely horrible.
 
Pfhhttttt....guess I'm talking to myself. PSU defense is hot garbage.
 
The Browns great equalizer.

I'm surprised that Pitt is in this game. They do have a nice running game.
 
Can Pitt complete a pass when it isn't a third down gimme ten yards short of a first? 6 points out of all that effort won't get it done.

I'll give the kid a break, it's only his 3rd start I think.
Special teams are killing Pitt more than what State is showing.
 
In PSU’s defense, bad weather is the great equalizer and Pitt always gets up for this game.

But wow this run defense is absolutely putrid. We are going to get slaughtered in Big Ten games with run D like this

A good team would be up by 40 on Pitt tonight with all those mistakes.
 
Clemson wins a close one over Texas A&M...28-26...A&M missed on a two point conversion that could have tied it
 
Pitt is clearly not in the same league as a team that suffered multiple NCAA penalties, loss of scholarships, loss of the coaching staff, and the defection of a good number of players after a child abuse scandal.

That was a horrible call. If they score there it gives them more time to get a possible FG. The refs totally screwed that call up.
 
James Franklin can be a real dick sometimes.
 
I think Franklin called for the review because he wanted to give that RB more carries. He's a true freshman 5 star recruit who had 2 fumbles. I'm thinking he wanted to give him the ball again so he could end on a positive. The refs clearly did not appreciate it so they let the call stand even though the RB's elbow was very clearly down.

Penn State can lose 4 games, or they can make the playoffs. It can go either way. They are absolutely loaded with talent but no experience so there will be mistakes. Their most talented receiver hasn't even played yet because he's nursing an injury. With all the drops, i have a feeling he's going to get plenty of time once he's good to go.

The biggest weakness is up the middle on defense where they have new starters at LB and Safety. They do have some experience at DT but they are just pluggers. The talent at DT are freshmen but they aren't ready.


If i was a Pitt fan, i'd be pretty upset with that gameplan. Did they think they were just going to win with runs up the gut and a few jet sweeps to the WR? Apparently so. Did they even attempt a pass over 10 yards? It's as if their plan was to drain the clock just to keep the loss close.
 
Herm Edwards and Arizona State just beat Michigan State with perfect end of game clock management. Game was tied at 13 and ASu got down to about the 5 with a little over 2 minutes left. Mich State called their last TO. ASU took a knee 3 times then kicked the game winning FG as time expired.

I wasn't a believer in Mich State. I was hoping it wouldn't be until after Penn State that they started losing. Their QB gets all this credit but i think he sucks. Unfortunately he played the game of his life vs Penn State last year. Let's hope that scrub doesn't do the same again this year.
