Ol girl said the fire whistles are usually for the kids? Was asking her about them. (Not a burgh native)

Thank Goodness for Pittburgh Dad. I love the Olive Green "land line" phone. I swear that was the color of our first touch-tone phone when we changed from rotary back in the late 50's:D

I'm afraid we are going to need a LOT of his humor this year!

P.S. Didn't Terry Bradshaw go 1-13 his rookie year?

I don't think he started every game but the team around him was still pretty bad. That was around the time when a reporter asked Chuck Noll in training camp if it would be hard to decide who to cut and he replied, "No, it's going to be hard to decide who to keep."

Any time there’s something big to celebrate we get the fire trucks out with the lights and sirens. My little town of Rochester, PA had a good run in the late 90’s thru the 2000’s of winning state football championships and when the team got back from Hershey they’d put them on a couple fire trucks and drive thru town. An upside of which is that little kids see this and it makes them want to work hard so they can win a state championship and ride the fire trucks too. BTW the western PA championship games are played in Heinz, err, Acrisure Field and a while back a reporter determined that my high school’s coach was fourth in number of games coached at Heinz Field behind Cowher, Billick, and Belicheat. It took Tomlin his first season to pass Gene Matsook.
