What good reason is Porter not starting (outside of him not being a zone defender)?

He needs to clean up his tackling. Still a little grabby but that might be minor in the grand scheme.
Other than that he is a rookie and they like to snail slowly insert them. They might lead to more points than the 30 point defense is shell shockingly producing.

I think that is a pretty fair answer. But, even if we are sticking with the zone shitshow, can Porter worse?
Peterson is a step slow. Levi isn't far behind. There is a debate we are two corners short.
If only Corey Trice hadn't tore his ACL in training camp. It's time for Desmond King and JPJ to start seeing the field, but you know, Coach T knows better than me

I think they wanted to ease him into the lineup. It's time. Peterson looks old and Wallace is either solid or awful with little in between.
Especially after the whole reason we took these guys was to play more man
