Pregame Green Bay vs Steelers

My hope is that Broderick Jones has been schooled on tackling a 41 yr old QB, that is on your team.

The survival rate of Aaaa-Ron is directly tied to that component.

PS. Our Efense hasn’t had a take-away since Ireland, going to have to reverse that trend come Sunday.

Stop Jacobs we win. Love and the passing game isn't anything to lose sleep over, even with our defense.

So funny, there is an article on Steeler Nation, "Steelers Defender Issues Condemning Statement On Coaching Staff's Preparation Ahead Of Matchup With Bengals", and one of the sub headlines of that article is "Steelers' Patrick Queen Has Stepped Up In 2025 Despite Defensive Struggles". This is what is wrong with this city's NFL team and the media surrounding it. I have never been a big P. Queen fan and the stats prove my point.

The article continues, "Queen looks more comfortable within Pittsburgh's defense during his second season with the team, and he has been having a great season so far. The linebacker seemed to fail to meet some people's expectations during his first season with the team in 2024, but he has made a name for himself in Pittsburgh during the 2025 season. He is playing near an All-Pro level, which is something that was expected of him after he signed. The veteran has racked up 48 tackles and a sack in 2025, and he has been much better in coverage. He needs to continue playing at a high level while Pittsburgh tries to turn things around on the defensive side of the ball."

What is going on here? Look up Tackles on ESPN NFL Stats, where is Mr. Queen ranked? Yes, tied 37th on that list with a total combined tackle number of 38. The leaders on that list have 75 total tackles. At #37 Queen is tied with a cornerback from NY Giants.. There is NO WAY he is close to All Pro caliber, way...way...way overpaid and not living up to the standards of any ILB, let alone an ILB on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

No, our Efense is no where close to putting that "D" up front.

I’ve been advocating for putting him on the efense since he obviously knows how to tackle AND can get to the QB…two huge components that could give the efense some much needed D

Yeah i should have written that "he loses the second of his two vendetta games". I made that confusing🤦🏻‍♂️
Or loses his “next vendetta game” but after reading it again, it made perfect sense. I just failed to catch it and took it the wrong way.

Green Bay is a much better team than the Steelers, especially defensively. They're balanced. #14 in total offense, #12 in yards per play. Pittsburgh is #25 and #16. Their defense, while #6 overall, is #1 in YPA allowed (5.8) and #4 in rushing average against (3.5). Our favorite team, conversely, is #31 (7.1) and #20 (4.4) in those important defensive categories. And the Packers have played some good offensive teams like Detroit, Washington, and Dallas.

Should be a relatively easy road win for the Pack, by 7 points or more.

Maybe it should but it won't.

This is a classic Tomlin rebound game. 10 days to prepare after a bad loss, at home on SNF, NFC team with a QB who holds the ball a long time. Throw in that it’s the biggest game for ARod in years and I’d say it’s a must win.

If they lose this and the D looks bad again, I think the bottom falls out.

That is kind of the sense I get as well.

I'm not necessarily confident the Steelers will win, as the Packers could win the Superbowl this season, but I think they'll play well and it will be a good game.

I mean, the defense almost literally couldn't be any worse than it was against the Bengals. The 30+ year old defenders getting the extra few days of rest should help.

I take it we need 8- Thursday Night Football games. Make them all home games……

Cracks me up that the Steelers are such a bad 4-2 team that the visiting Packers are -3 in this matchup AND it’s not because key players are injured, we’re as healthy as a team can be at this stage of the season.

I’d actually figure that -5.5 or -6 would seem more accurate from what I’ve seen of the teams, they must be factoring in Tomlin’s .700 win rate following TNF games.

At any rate I feel a fairly large margin of victory coming for the Pack unless Rodgers does what he has proven to do and is able to overcome Mike’s many deficiencies…the good news is I never know what’s going to happen with the result of a game the Packers are involved in so maybe the Steelers show up after that ridiculous tape they put out on TNF.

This may be a good game to just check the score in the 4th quarter and see if it’s worth tuning in for 20-30 minutes of my time…has potential to get playoff ugly for the efense.

Yeah I'm guessing they win this then drop the next two...

I definitely think Steelers lose this GB game. How's the field, btw?

Question is over/under on Parson's sacks, or GB Team sacks?
Josh Jacobs hasn't had a 100+ yd rushing game this year, he will this weekend.
Tucker Kraft has his 2nd 100+ yd receiving game Sunday night.

This may be true but for context
Green Bay has 1 quality win against the lions. Arguably good win against the Flacco led Bengals, thats it.
They have a better defense than offense, the offense is Josh Jacobs. Stop him you win. Steelers may stop him as he is dealing with a calf injury.
They lost to the Browns, Tied the cowboys, and beat the Commanders, Cardinals and Bengals. All trash teams without a QB, RB and bad defenses.
Not a chance Rodgers loses this one, Hope he goes rogue if the play calling sucks.

Itseither going to be a huge win for the B&G, or they get blown out, or something in-between.

Bet on it.

Man, I hope you are right. "Green Bay has 1 quality win against the lions." And we barely, quote that barely, beat Justin Fields and the Jets. Our quality wins so far are what? Can't count NE, they weren't what they are today, CLE? MIN? Not really quality. We are now hitting the harder part of our season. Comes down to prep for the game, and MT is notorious for NOT planning a scheme. LaFleur will out prepare Tomlin for sure and he wants to win against AR just as much as A-Rod wants to win against his former team.

Tucker Kraft is a one to watch for our Defense. We don't defend TE's well at all.

The Steelers are not a good football team. 4-2 very deceiving record since they came awfully close to losing to the winless Jets in week one and were handed an early Christmas gift from the Patriots.
Had to fight off a late surge from Carson Wentz.
Only comfortable win came against rookie Dillon Gabriel and the Browns.
Fools gold! Don’t buy into this team with Tomlin leading the charge.
Next three games agains the best competition to date.
Packers, Colts, Chargers. Could see two to three losses here.

The driving narrative with the players may also be that if Aaaa-Ron wins, he will be ONLY the 5th QB in NFL history to beat all 32 teams in his career !!!!

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.!
