Yep, I’m all set! As mentioned earlier this past week I found my new home to watch Steeler games at the local watering holes in NE Houston. Looking forward to seeing my new friends and, and I just received my Kenny Pickett Steeler jersey that I’ll be wearing regardless of whether Kenny plays.
So speaking of Kenny I’ve read some articles quoting Tomlin’s buddy Jay Glazer who states that Tomlin has no intention of starting Kenny this year. I suppose the only way he gets in is if Mitch goes down in a game since Kenny gets a hat on Sundays. I’m reading between the lines here but if they replace Mitch to start a game due to injury or ineffective play that means Tomlin starts Rudolph? Yikes! So what happens if Rudy is ineffective, do we just bounce back to Mitch?
I get that Kenny is a rookie but he’s not a 21 year old rookie but 24 with five years experience at a major college program. I think Tomlin imo is being too overprotective of him and don’t think this is a good strategy.
If Mitch needs to be pulled or gets injured then let’s get Kenny ready to go as the starter instead of saving him for who knows what. He’s mature and a leader and of course he will make mistakes but let him make them and learn from them. Geez, Tomlin started Mason in 2019 and Duck who was a rookie so don’t hesitate with Kenny who far exceeds those two. I’m afraid this is another example of living in your fears which to me holds a team back. Same as last Sunday when they refused to throw to the middle of the field or kept dropping Mitch back in the pocket rather than roll him out. Offense much too conservative and playing not to lose. That’s not going to keep working so we must stop living in our fears.

So, I'll be driving from Tampa back to SLC on the 20th of Oct. I think I'll be past Houston before Sunday; but if I'm not - we're going to your spot and bringing Coolie...
