WINNING!

President-elect Trump has chosen retired Army Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg as chief of staff and executive secretary of the National Security Council and Dr. Monica Crowley as senior director of strategic communications for the National Security Council.

"The United States is an exceptional country and these are two exceptional individuals who have agreed to fulfill the president-elect's pledge of putting America first once again," Mike Flynn, Trump's national security advisor-designate, said in a statement. "I am honored to have General Kellogg and Dr. Crowley on the National Security Council team."

The appointment of Kellogg, a Vietnam veteran who later commanded the 82nd Airborne Division and has served as a national security adviser for Trump, would bring to four the number of retired high-ranking officers on Trump's team. Kellogg also served as the chief operation officer for the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq in 2003.

Monica Crowley will join McFarland, who was named deputy national security adviser last month, in the administration.

"I am deeply honored, humbled and grateful to be asked by the president-elect to join the extraordinary national security team he is assembling," Crowley said. "With vision, courage and moral clarity, he is committed fully to re-establishing America's singular place in the world. He is also committed to selecting the best people for the jobs of keeping the American people safe and the country secure. It will be a great privilege to serve with them."

Crowley has two master’s degrees and a PhD in international affairs from Columbia University.

Both Crowley and Kellogg have been sharp critics of President Obama’s foreign policy in the past.

Rocky goes to Washington! Trump taps Sylvester Stallone for top 'arts' role

Donald Trump has drawn ‘first blood’ in the search for his incoming administration's senior arts role - by tapping up Rambo legend Sylvester Stallone. Sources have told DailyMail.com the president-elect sees Hollywood icon Stallone as the perfect choice to make art great again.

The likely position would be Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency that doles out funds to aspiring artists and creative projects. If Stallone is formally offered that job, his appointment will have to be approved by Congress.

Well, no.

Monica Crowley bows out amid plagiarism accusations, says she will not join Trump administration

President-elect Donald Trump's pick for director of communications at the National Security Council, GOP foreign policy adviser Monica Crowley, "will not be taking a position in the incoming administration," she said in a statement on Monday.

"After much reflection, I have decided to remain in New York to pursue other opportunities and will not be taking a position in the incoming administration," she said in a statement first obtained by The Washington Times.

"I greatly appreciate being asked to be part of President-elect Trump's team, and I will continue to enthusiastically support him and his agenda for American renewal," she said.

Crowley's announcement came amid reports published by Politico and CNN that she appeared to have plagiarized full sections of her doctoral dissertation in 2000 and her 2012 book, "What The (Bleep) Just Happened?"

Crowley was a Fox News contributor until she was tapped by Trump to be the director of strategic communications for the National Security Council. She would have worked with Trump's national security adviser, retired Gen. Michael Flynn.

"The NSC will miss the opportunity to have Monica Crowley as part of our team," Flynn said in a statement. "We wish her all the best in her future."

An investigation by CNN's KFile published earlier this month revealed more than 50 places in Crowley's 2012 New York Times best-seller that appear to have been lifted verbatim from a variety of columnists, think tanks, and Wikipedia.

Crowley's history of plagiarism accusations dates back several years, according to Slate. The publication points to an editorial feature Crowley wrote for The Wall Street Journal in 1999 that was found to have "striking similarities in phraseology" to a 1988 article by Paul Johnson in Commentary magazine, The Journal said in an editorial note.
