So I turn on the NFL Network and Andrea Kremer is talking to Willie McGinest about Goodell and the NFL and domestic violence. I want to hear andrea Kremer trying to act like a journalist and Willie McGinest opining about this bullshit? Yeah he was at a meeting. I give a ****.

When do I get a Faulk, Irvin, Sanders roundtable on domestic violence? I can barely take those guys trying to sound intelligent about football.

That is all..

I was sick of it about a day after it started. It's so disingenuous. Like the whole Redskins thing. I have watched barely any NFL shows and have even turned off sports radio while i'm working because i just don't want to hear it anymore.

Don't worry...you won't have to wait too long for another NFL player to do something else stupid (like Plax shooting himself in the leg), and gun control or some other holier-than-thou issue will replace domestic violence as the talking head flavor of the month. I rarely watch NFL Network or ESPN during the week, just Sunday mornings to check on injury information. And it's not easy to watch then, either.

If they didn't have so many idiots in the NFL they wouldn't have to talk about it.

Media drives everything into the dirt, so that by now shouldn't be a shocker.

Or will it change peoples annoyance towards it just the same...........

I was watching the Dan Patrick show yesterday and he was talking about this topic. He also said, "Come on ESPN, was Ray Lewis really the best choice as an analyst to be discussing the problem of violent actions of NFL players?" He's the first one I've heard who had the guts to ask out loud.

I'm loving it, if for no other reason than this might actually get Goodell removed as commisioner.

Exactly. Isn't Randy Moss on one of the shows now? All they need now is Lawrence Taylor and Terell Owens.

If you think of her naked it can get you through the boring programming.

Thank goodness for the internet and team alerts on the cell phone. There is no reason to watch any nfl shows at all!

I don't watch any of these "expert" ESPN shows, just a glimpse here and there. It's like a finance stock broker asking the plumber for financial advice. Witnessing these ex football guys do a NASCAR clip is horrendous. Point being, they are so far out of their element, it isn't even funny. Until the next "flavor of the week" comes along, get use to IT. !!!!

Salute the nation

Inside the NFL back in the day when it was on HBO used to show game high lights set to music and Harry Kalilis' voice (NFL films) and that was 80% of the show and it was great. They cut back on the game high lights until eventually it was one play for most games. I don't even know if they show any now? Every time I tune in its talk and manufactured jocularity (like every other show).

and Bill Simmons was suspended for a profanity-laced tirade regarding Goodell.

go figure.

I tune into DVE and 93.7 the Fan to get my fix on NFL football, STEELER FOOTBALL. Listen on line. It is crazy how everyone provides their opinion on domestic violence on these shows. Oh, and get ready for the pink invasion next month. NFL changes it's colors for October......

Yep, it sucks. Can't stand any of these blowhard shows anymore. I haven't watched a pregame show in about 15 years or more. Just give me the games...and even some of those are wearing thin with the crap rules, horrible announcing and billions of commercials.

They like to hit us over the head with these domestic violence shows.

The shows have also tried to copy the FOX pregame and the joking and ribbing that goes on between Bradshaw and Howie Long. It's so played.

The league has expanded its appeal to a wider audience. Theres more women watching football more than ever and so now the league is catering to that audience and a younger audience that wants that reality show appeal and drama. Add to that the rise of social media, every fan now has a voice and discussions are open and the talk shows pick up on this. All-access now...........

Steelers back in the days of Greenwood, Ham, Lambert, Blount..........im sure they battered wives or gfs....but they didnt have nearly the coverage we have today......society has changed and the league and shows that support it have evolved. The game itself is almost secondary because theres always a story developing around a player, his injury, his private life. That has some appeal to many....

Yes, it turns out there have always been battered women... And all along I've been eating the plain kind!

Old tasteless joke.

I've always enjoyed Inside the NFL until this year. It is absolutely awful. It's become just another ****** pre-game show.

The driving force behind these antics are the same people that Rush complains about all the time. They don't like football, they don't like the violence and they won't be happy until it's made into a grade school version of 'release the peddler'. These same people call the police on 2nd graders for nibbling their food into toys, so any opportunity they can get to force some negativity into the MSM, they will take every advantage they can.

Truth is........

More than a few pundits have condemned miscreants in pro football, but the truth hurts their argument: NFL players are actually incarcerated less than the average citizen.

The numbers don't lie. One in every 45 National Football League players (2.2 percent) is arrested. The national arrest rate is 1 in 23 (4.2 percent), according to the FBI in 2010.

What does that mean? Technically, NFL players get in 47.6 percent less trouble than your average Joe.

When Mike the butcher gets a DUI, it's not news. But when Steve the cornerback gets busted for public intoxication, it becomes a story.

Then there is the real story....

and the latest twist...

Taking the lead from Susan Rice, and at the orders of the White House, NFL football player Ray Rice is now attempting to deflect responsibility for the attack by blaming it on a video posted on the TMZ website.

Appearing on the Sunday shows, Rice has stated that it was, in fact, the TMZ video that had sparked outcries of abuse, incompetence, and coverup.

Within hours, Attorney General Holder called for the immediate arrest of TMZ editor Harvey Levin, who aired the video, and who is now being charged with the crime of reporting the news. DOJ officials are confident that Mr. Levin will be purged and never heard of again.

When asked by newly anointed Meet the Press front man, Chuck Todd, as to why he is blaming a video for the attack and the coverup, Mr. Rice stated:

"Well, Chuck. You see? Why not blame the video? Clearly the video is the cause of all the controversy. If Secretary Clinton and President Obama can walk away by blaming a video, well... myself and Commissioner Goodell can do so as well. We fully expect this story to be reported as a phony scandal by the media at which time this story will be buried and never heard of again, and I and Mr. Goodell can go about our business and refuse any further inquiries into the matter."
