Mike Tomlin is overwhelmed with his fears and the Steelers are suffering because of it. Two examples from yesterday's game:
Otherwise, this boring ****-fest continues until Tomlin finally puts Pickett in the lineup.
- Steelers 2nd drive, 4th and 4 at Cleveland's 32. Wind is brutal. Turnover on downs, not a short field. Go for it. Nope. Missed field goal so Cleveland gets even better field position than they would have on a failed 4th down. "But the offense sucks, why do you expect them to get a 1st down?" If you watch a lot of games, you see that defenses have a lot of trouble with 4th downs. These guys are so used to leaving the field after stopping the offense short on 3rd down that they often fail to stop on 4th down.
- 4th quarter, 4th and 5 from Cleveland's 21, catch Cleveland with too many men on field, now 4th and a 1/2 yard from the 17 1/2. Down 9 points, need a TD and field goal. Hell of a lot easier to get a TD from the opponent's 17 than driving the field with no timeouts. Go for the TD now. If you can't make 1/2 yard, you don't deserve to win. Hey, how about a ******* QB sneak? Or know what, 4th and a foot, time FOR THE BOMB!!
