Interesting. Is he washed or was the Oline that bad last year? It was pretty darn bad.

Personally, I love it when division Rivals invest in old RBs...
Hmmm?
Living here about 100 miles southe ast of Baltimore...

I heard the same about division rivals investing in old QB's.. ;)

BTW--I dont believe Henry is washed up for a minute.
We need to strengthen the middle of our defense this off-season.

Henry is 30 at a position where the average expiration date os 29... he also lead tge league in carries 4 of the past 5 seasons.
Pull up a few star rbs and see how tgeir careers often fall off a cliff in this age period

How we gonna do that? The only inside linebackers worth anything except Queen are signed. Same with centers. They better get on the ball, there's still a couple d linemen that fit the three four out there. If they're going into the draft with glaring weaknesses at ILB and center, they better get off their hands and sign a starting corner, safety and defensive lineman and that still leaves us with Moore at LT.

Signing Queen would be awesome and almost a must a this point...

If not...our draft should be heavily weighted towards DT/ILB/IOL

Omar said .... Here's Patrick Queen to help do just that

Sorry, Even if Henry is old, he's with the most athletic QB to ever play the game. He's going to get yardage.
But, will he still be able to get the TOUGH yards? The 3 and 3 on your opponent's 45, so if you don't make it, it's a wasted drive yardage? I think he will. But, I don't think it will be with the consistency and ease that a younger Henry did.

This is not good. Henry may fall off or he may continue to bully defenses. Let's see what rhy do with Dobbins. Not good but glad we got PQ and Wilson. Things are looking UP

so does Gus Edwards in that scheme. I’d be worried if they got a game breaker like Saquon. Henry is a 2 down workhorse.

Always been able to stop Henry and Lamar... OK

How about Henry playing behind Lamar

Henry is a battering ram. It's funny watching defenses trying to tackle him in the 4th quarter. He's also unbelievably fast. This signing gives me a bad feeling because teams stack the box and Henry still moves chains. Baltimore goes to the SB if Henry was on that team 2 months ago. Really don't want them making any more big signings. Off topic but they lost stone who is a good safety

Henry is a rare breed, but will break down at some point. I don't quite get this signing because the Ravens have a pretty good running game regardless who's in the backfield. Dobbins had unreal numbers when healthy, so I'm glad they didn't sign a player with breakaway speed.

Go look at every power back's stats around 28/29 then 30/31

There is a steep cliff there... my guess is Henry ends up injured or ineffective in the second half of the season... the first game or two he will look unstoppable, but this is the age RB have a lifetime of hits finally catch up to them...

Henry doesn't have breakaway speed anymore? He runs, catches, throws short yardage TD. DB do not want to tackle him. Stiff arm is strong. The guy is a monster who has never been on a great team. If we would have signed him what would our commentary be?

Someone actually said this signing "doesn't move the needle"

I'm wondering if they signed Henry because they want Jackson to be more quarterback and less running back.

The Ravens getting Henry is a good move for them, in my opinion.

The equation that everyone is trying to solve in the AFC, is how do you beat the Chiefs??

They are back-to-back champs, and they don't look like they will be slowing down. Right now, nobody is looking at the Steelers saying, whoa, how are we going to beat these guys??

It's the Chiefs, Bills and Ravens for now. The one innovative wrinkle I've seen so far that could be effective, was the Bills' use of a 6-man O-line against KC. It was effective for a bit, and it impressed me. I expect many teams to explore the tactic. Kinda becomes a little more scary to me with the Ravens trying to run it with a guy like Henry. Don't know if they will, but they'd be fools not to try.

I will would think the Steelers took note as well.
