The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially announced their team captains today:
For offense and defense it’s no surprise, Ben Roethlisberger and Cam Heyward continue to be the leaders of this team. The special teams captain this year is Derek Watt. The one surprise here is that last year Co-captain TJ Watt is not announced as captain. This may be in part due to the ongoing negotiations of a contract extension. Regardless of this, we congratulate the three captains, and look forward to them leading the team into a year where they will look to secure a seventh Lombardi trophy for Pittsburgh.
