Coolie is great !GREAT article and thanks for posting Coolie, appreciate it.
We both know it's been a while since we have testament to this kind of action at training camp. Our past version of offense hasn't been very competitive to the defense. Things have changed, getting rid of the O'Canada has made this offense / team gel more and more. It's actually a professional offense, from what I've been reading.

I will wait and see how it all works out on 3rd and short during the season. For that matter....3rd and whatever. It never really has been about the talent level. The front six have to be near top of league. If not recognized yet they will show.
This front 6 have been pretty good about getting off field on 3rd. For most part. Especially in red zone.I will wait and see how it all works out on 3rd and short during the season. For that matter....3rd and whatever. It never really has been about the talent level.
Meh. I disagree. The 10 yard cushion by our CBs on third and 3 isn't a "get off the field" type of play. Our MLBers drop back 5 to ten yards at the snap. The bend but don't break mentality is still there. This front 6 have been pretty good about getting off field on 3rd. For most part. Especially in red zone.
i would of loved the Steelers to draft this guy....but they didn't have a 5th rounder that year and the pats took him about 6 picks before the Steelers 6th round pick....Roberts was such a good addition to the team last season and Queen is the perfect fit next to him. These two guys were born to be Steelers and have been tone setters in training camp. Queen is a bonafide star player, but Roberts is the type of player you need surrounding the stars to win games. I'll criticize the coaching staff when they earn it and I'll praise them as well. They have these guys competing this camp and finally seem to be setting a true physical tone.

Me too. After what happened last season I'm not getting too excited about anything I see until after week 3 or 4 of the regular season. I'll just remain cautiously optimistic until then.I’m in this pontoon as well, I’m waiting to see it transfer to field of play. We are still under the current coaching scheme, as far as I know.
One thing for sure though, we haven’t had aggressive IMLB play for awhile (last year they all tapped out). THAT in itself makes it very exciting.
