Roman Wilson drilling with "RouteGod"

Among the many reasons I don't want AR to come back is this--if he doesn't like a WR, they don't have a chance.

AR aims to get rid of the ball quickly and throws it to where the WR is supposed to be. He's not a see it, throw it QB. That is good but sometimes you have to hang on to the ball a tick more and then see it/throw it to the open guy. I felt Roman and others got open a bunch of times last year but AR threw to his time/location, not their time location, even when the OL gave him time.

AR skills as a QB are advanced, but to expect everyone else to be as precise all the time just isn't realistic. I'd hate to see us cut ties with RW before he gets a legit chance, especially if he goes somewhere else and becomes a solid WR3. Maybe McCarthy will like him?

Cracks me up they call him the “route god”

Dude has trained so many receivers that did squat after his “godly” training and a few guys that had legit careers (Beckham, DJ)…also both head cases that thought they were some sort of god after his training.

If you look at the standard rate of receivers that improve their craft without his training the percentage is probably about the same as the ones that are touched by “god”.

His success rate is very low in churning out top receivers. From hearing a few interviews of guys that trained with him I’d say he’s very over rated.

BUT great to see Roman trying to make the roster by improving his craft cuz he’s been a bucket of suck thus far, so it can’t make him worse.

The bad thing is if he's showing him obvious things DBs are aware of it's going to make it even harder on him. The guys that need to be training people are people like Jerry Rice or AB if he wasn't nutso. Guys that were truly route gods.

The kid got there to the third round at a big school. If he puts in the time and the scheme puts him in decent position to succeed, he still has a chance.

I wonder how much he charges for these sessions and how many players book time with him. I doubt that whether we approve of the way he talks factors into either of those or players' decisions to train with him. Just sayin ... ya feel?

I love a guy like Hines that is just football smart, as a former QB he took that skill set and applied to it to WR. He’d read the play and if it was zone he was gonna sit down on an open spot, show numbers and make his QB’s life easy.

Maybe he should run a camp called zone beater?
Maybe more marginal QBs with athletic traits would excel as receivers with their acumen?

Running great routes and having the ability to beat man coverage is nice, but the “route god” lmfao and he needs to gtfoh with that stupid shyte.

He got off to such a ****** start with us hopefully he can step in and make a run we need a killer slot he has all the tools to be the best slot in the NFL but with AR at qb that could be a problem AR WILL NOT and quit possibly can’t, throw into the middle of the field. At Michigan he played with a chip on his shoulder he willed his team to a championship they had a good running back but for the most part he carried them! can he get that chip again? Runs 4.3s great hands no fear great teammate I’m sure Steelers thought they had another AB but with Wallace’s speed… And of course you can’t help but wonder what this kid would have done with Big Ben. We need a fukn qb!
