Give the fans some ownership of the team. Sell stock in the Steelers. That will help pay for your new stadium. A LOT of people would buy.

I'd also tie some funding to winning championships. Say two in the next 8 years.

The fans already get wallet raped on the product. May as well get something back.

Dead link

Worked for me, but I believe it is a HOME page article. I haven’t checked yet but it appears that way.

Usually played in the post season.

That’s after the regular season is over……………

The NFL banned that.. Green Bay is grandfathered in

I’m totally against “TAX-PAYER” money for any of it.

Why should “joe & Jill” citizen have to provide a place of profit for other’s to work?

Our current team president showed us what he cares about us. He put a sub-standard product out there and turned his eyes the other direction……….. for years.

TRS I think lasted 30+ years, so I would think Acrisure has another 10-ish in it.

They are house after the revenue as the PSLs are out dated and they can register out how to jack more money through that kind of ****-sizzle billing.

Did Rooney say they want a new stadium, or did someone speculate that they may soon want a new stadium?

You’re killing my rant………

DIC,

In my best Canadian:

Sorry to mess up your rant part way thru; it was going to be your best, I know that and feel badly that I interrupted your energy. Apologies if your vibrations take too long to return you to your glorious previous stature. Alas, I had wrongly believed your aura as impenetrable.

Thank you for all your posts and all your rants along the way, making this a better place.

And for the S10 stories and the weekly predickshun thread.

'Salute the nation'!

Rooney is pulling an Antonio Brown move.

Change always costs...

Will a new stadium/dome open the opportunity for a SB in Pittsburgh? Yes.

Will that revenue generate jobs and extra income for the city and surrounding area? Yes.

If the stadium is anything like ATLs, Dallas or LAs - this is more than a stadium - it's a revenue-generating location for more stores and food venues throughout the week.

So, will it costs. Yes. Will the rich get richer from this? Yes. Some of yinz and yer offspring may benefit with future employment opportunities...

The Steelers may get a dome stadium someday, but it won’t be in Pittsburgh or anywhere in Western Pennsylvania for that matter..

If a domed stadium can be in Cleveland, a domed stadium can be anywhere.

From an aerial view it looks like some big warehouse.

No way.
I’ll be calling them the appropriate name..,the Cincinnati Squealers.

In the 19th century, Cincinnati earned the nickname "Porkopolis" because it was the leading pork-processing center in the world.

🐖 Historical Significance
  • The World's Leader: By 1845, Cincinnati was the largest meat-packing city globally, primarily processing pork. In 1833 alone, over 85,000 pigs were processed locally.
  • Streets of Swine: The nickname was often used disparagingly because thousands of hogs were herded through downtown streets to slaughterhouses, often roaming freely and scavenging garbage.

To this day the tradition is kept.
Instead of squealing pigs it’s people on the streets roaming freely and scavenging garbage.

And I want an owner that can build a championship contending product…guess we’re both not gonna get what we want.

For ***** sake ya can’t make a stadium last more than 25 years?!?!?
**** the **** off you can not be serious
