Today the IND v DET game. Det kicks a fg to go up 37-35. Then IND goes full playground with laterals and the ball goes out of the endzone. Stay with me....

There is a flag for an illegal fwd pass that took place in the endzone and the result was a safety. Making the final score 39-35. Everyone shakes hands and walks away.....

Now here is my question. A safety also comes with a free kick from IND to DET. Improbably, but still possible, INDY couldve onside kicked the ball, gotten a lucky hop, and scoop and scored that to take the lead and win the game, So why didnt this happen?

Am I wrong any officials out there?

play is only extended for an untimed down on a defensive penalty...

I do not think you can onside a free kick either

The Colts game cost me 300 bucks smh

you also can't advance an onsides kick.

It's that a rule change? I remember Ward doing it in the pro bowl for a touchdown.

Ward was on the receiving team. The kicking team cant advance it.
