I remain curious to see if the Steelers make any "big" signings (like a Payne, Edmunds, etc). Historically it doesn't happen much but with a new front office who knows?

I don't think I'd be interested in bringing in a $20 million a year IDL coming off a career year in sacks. If he drops back down to his average, you're paying a lot of money for a 4-5 sack guy.

i actually don think he'd solve much. Maybe he'd be better than Montravius in the dime. Maybe.
The D desperately need a zero. Zero solves 'the whole f*ckin thing'. With the zero, Steelers don't need anybody great inside. Steelers dont need so much out of Heyward.
The Steelers aught to trade for Dexter Lawrence. even a 1st - as terrible as that sounds.

Man it is just a huge red flag when you get a guy hitting a career year during his contract season. Bud Dupree, Clowney, Javon Walker, Albert Haynesworth etc. Just too risky and makes you wonder about the desire. Some guys have passion for football and the money is secondary. Some guys could be all-pro and hall of famers but they play for the money and once they are locked up go into not getting hurt mode. I would probably pass on Payne to be safe.
