Ole Russ gets selected to the pro bowl. He replaces Josh Allen who opted out. This will be Ole Russ’s 10’th Pro Bowl nod. Last one was after 21 season his last with Seahawks.
So there’s that!

lol I was waiting on someone to post this ty. didn't start 1st 6 games. lost last 5 games but is a pro bowler. it is time to 86 the pro bowl

Now watch Tomlin! He will be singing Russ’s praises and most likely telling Art he’s our guy.
This off season is going to be one for the ages. Geez!

Is this April fools? Did all the other QB's turn it down? There is no way he is even close to being a Pro Bowl player.

Playing in pro bowls arent the same as being selected for them... the NFL had to vlarify that years ago because too many guys were tripping bonuses for being injury fill ins...

I think it was a combination of name recognition, having the fifth highest AFC passer rating, and guys like Allen and Tua not willing to play due to injury... i am guessing a couple may have been asked first...

Hopefully with a nice little showing, he has interest from other teams and walks. Seems best for all parties involved.

It would have made more sense to pick Big Ben over Russ bucket and Ben hasn't played in four years. What a joke. Well at least the have an excuse to justify paying Wilson 40 million a year to be a ****** QB

but he is a pro bowler!!!

Wilson is the starting QB as soon as his contract is negotiated. Call the wahmbulance

30 years ago, we actually used to have Pro Bowl parties at my dad's. The Pro Bowl was always the week after the Super Bowl. A lot of guys who were in the Super Bowl the week prior would still participate, the games were played in Hawaii, and they were usually competitive and fun to watch.

These days, I can't even tell you when it's on. It's become a farce. Russ Wilson being in this game only solidifies that notion.

It5’s his last serenade from the NFL. the “Rog” gave him a hand in gratitude for what he has done in the NFL. Sort of a parting gift……..

OR

Making it appear that he was really something and Coach Tomlin will want to re-sign him…………………..

Yes, Jackson backed out, Allen backed out, Mahomes in the Super Bowl, Stroud declined, Nix is injured. I'm sure they asked Herbert and Tua and they also declined, it would be the only way they would get all the way down to Maye and Wilson.

Yes. Never a losing season, greatest QB ever.

Ah yes, The NFL Pro bowl. Watching grown *** men play dodgeball, tag, and ring around the Rosie. Splendid. I heard that next year they're making mud pies and playing Army men with marbles as bullets.

Let me know when they get to use fire-crackers…………

Isn't it literally flag football now? I"m serious.

Yea, we are only paying him $1 mill of the 40, something Rooneys excel at: being cheap. You just know when Art saw what Russ was going to cost him he couldn't sign up fast enough to some of that Wilson discount.

Now they will try to get a discount on Fields. It will happen.

Perhaps but not the same as the screaming discount they got on Russ, Art got a woody from that deal on Russ, he couldn't believe how cheaply he got him, that was a no brainer. Art won his Super Bowl that day. A 38 million discount? Sign him up.

Perhaps you would be happier as a 0*ts fan?

Would you rather them do a Watson or Cousins type deal and be in cap hell for 3 years? Fields is only worth a discount type contract.
