This is one of the most brutal teardowns of any player by a commentator. Plus it's funny! Great job Ryan! He starts at the 2min mark.

And the HERD rips Mayfield as well:

Preach, Colin!

The more interesting clip is Orlavsky’s breakdown of what the Steelers were doing on defense. Good stuff by him.

I like Clark but the hot take stuff is played out. Next time Baker has a good game, they’ll be saying well I think he turned the corner and figured it out.

lol damn Ryan, bustin' out the biblical reference with "He is no Moses, and the Browns are no Israelites!" Brutal

Ive heard several of the National guys opine that Baker cannot read a D....
And the crack that the question isn’t whether he is a top ten qb in the league... its whether he would even be a top ten backup... lol what a loser

I liked the breakdown of how the Steelers defense confused Mayfield more than anything. Pretty simple concepts that confused a No. 1 overall draft pick touted as the next Drew Brees or Russell Wilson.

Mayfield seems caught between being a true pocket passer and an athletic QB to me. He is peeking at the rush but not doing anything substantial with his legs. That is pretty much death to a QB. There is good Baker and bad Baker, but I'm thinking this will be another failure in the Factory of Sadness.

It was a good sign when the Browns kept rolling Baker out of the pocket. That's when you know the defense is winning the battle. It limits the field and the big play ability, IMO.

I was shocked Mayfeild was the overall #1 pick. He was small, didn't have a big arm, and relied on the type of touch passes down the field that get batted down or intercepted in the NFL. When the defender gets there before the ball, there is a problem. Mayfield can run a bit, but that's not a big part of his game.

While he's not doing terrible considering the team he's playing for. He's clearly not a franchise QB either. The worst things the Browns can do is make them their version of Andy Dalton for years. ie giving a top 18-22 type quarterback 30 million a year.

Just a hunch, there is some presidential politics mixed from the critics that are pouncing right. You try playing against TJ Watt and Dupree with bad ribs when the running game stalls and you're down a few scores.

Mayfield will get run out of Believeland just like the 150+ QBs before him.

At this point I think it's safe to say that any QB is doomed in Cleveland no matter how good they are. They can't seem to hire good coaches and no stability in the coaching staff.
The best coach they had in recent years was Toddster Haley and the offense was improving under him and they couldn't stand it so he got fired halfway through his first season.

A-N-D

How much the QB has to process. It's a way of simple-ing down the field.

I've been kindA wondering how long that shirt tail would be by now , you know the one that has all their QBs listed on the back of a Cleveland jersey.......................

I've seen a lot more bad Baker than good Baker, but then again, I only watch him against the Steelers.

honestly, it doesnt matter who the QB is in Cleveland. For ****'s sake, look at their roster. Talent everyfuckingwhere.
just a cesspool of failure cloaked in a fog of misery without mercy.

i'd be willing to bet that if Mayfield went elsewhere, he'd be a good QB. If I were the Redskins, I'd offer a straight up swap of Mayfield and Haskins. Rivera would be able to keep Mayfield in line and teach him to be a better QB. Cleveland may like it since it'd be bringing home an OSU alum and they'd like the ticket/jersey sales.

Bullshit. Cleveland won, what, how many Super Bowls with Tim Couch, Brady Quinn and Brandon Weeden? The franchise knows how to spot and develop QB's like no other team in football history. They KNEW, for example, that Ohio native Ben something would never amount to anything and wisely passed on him. The KNEW that Drew something and Roger Aarons or something like that and Deshaun something were a big zero.

Can you imagine being stuck for the past 20 years with Drew Breezy, Ben Roethlis something, Aaron or Roger, and Deshuan? Geniuses running the Clowns make me sooooo jealous.

I'm with you Supe, I think their skill position players are the best in the AFC North across the board. WRs, TEs, and RBs. They have a good OLB, but an average QB.

I was shocked...
