At least, we hardly did once they squeezed it in between the conference championships and the SB. It’s being replaced by a week long skills competition amongst players. All I have to say about this is “Someone ask about Robert Edward‘s Rookie Beach Bowl injury at the 1999 Pro Bowl. My word he wasn’t even supposed to play in the Pro Bowl anyway.

In any case……..good idea, bad idea, who gives a flip? Personally, it’s a glorified second combine for players and the NFL to make money….at a risk.

Doubt I watch. Just doesn't hold my interest. Recently and even changing the format.

I don't really think an event is necessary. Name the Pro Bowl team and be done with it. The game didn't resemble football and while the skills events are sorta fun, it's never anything I would go out of my way to watch. I suppose it fills programming time and if Omaha Productions is involved, it should be fairly entertaining.

The Pro-Bowl hasn't been significant since the mid 90's. It turned from respectable player choices to nothing but opinionated player pick. They pull the wool over your eyes making you actually think fan voting means anything. The NFL are the bottom line who names the players, **** the vote outcome.

Just like the year end acolades all a scam.

Obviously due to my eye-lids being in a tactical place I will watch it with my eyes closed and with my weighted play I'll scurry on out the door while leaving the TV on but more importantly the Butter melter as well. Upon my return I cherish the thought of actual PoPcorn well placed and butter to the degree of some splash along the line. No grass blade will be left un-trimmed and of course the toxidity of completed TD passes will dance above my neck.

I might tune in if it were games like that japanese gameshow . Where people fall in water and get slimed etc. Or maybe if it were a triva show like jeopardy.

Name the pro bowl players. No skills competition or game. Just a red carpet walk, they can bring girlfriend, wife, partner. It will be a fashion show ( hosted by the haberdashery that advertise during the pregame shows). Quick interview, some highlight film. Nobody gets hurt. Nfl makes money. Brings in a lot of female viewers. An untapped source of money.

Whats with the flag football game? Will it be NFL players? My idea would be for each team to be represented by a fan and have the fans play the flag football game. That could be interesting . . .

As long as the bring back those QB drills where the hit the targets on the crossing golf carts. Wish I remembered what that show was called.

Wasn't that "Battle of the super stars" ?

no ******* thanks

Pro Bowl has steadily been declining. This is just another effort to try and bring money in. IT will probably see a spike in ratings for the first year just cause its new. My guess would be a very sharp drop off after the first year.

The STEELERS have had more LBs in the pro bowl than any other team in the nFL. That was back in the day when reputations mattered, and things were legitimate.

Today, if Bush were not on the STEELERS he would have as much a shot at making it as near anyone else, that's how far the pro-bowl has fallen.

YES!

The world needs another meaningless award show where highly paid influencers can tell people what is important!!
Maybe Greta can host?!?!

It’s funny that you bring up Robert Edwards unfortunate injury in that Beach Bowl. When they announced this skills competition and flag football game I immediately thought of this guy. Ruined his career!

I don't want to see Greta on tv...ever.

The Pro Bowl has pretty much become a flag football game anyway.

They removed the event going forward after his injury. NFLPA and Owners agreed before going to the Commish. Edwards being a 1st rounder didn’t help NWE either.

They teach you beginning in Pee Wee through Pop Warner……playing not to get hurt, usually means you are going to get hurt.

The product has been terrible for YEARS. Fans on site booing the product was the writing on the wall. It was dumb to move it to MIA from Hawaii. At least there, people don't care enough to **** on the game.

My vote had always been to move the PB internationally. I'd rather have that game in the UK as opposed to a game that counted.

Now a flag game would be OK, as long as they don't play it on sand, so the Pats don't lose their only home grown RB ever to an ACL injury...
