My new names for Tomlin and Butler. It's a damn good thing the birds flew south. Tomlin didn't move more than eight inches in the second half. A flock might have landed on him. He just stands there with his neck gator covering most of his face and doesn't blink much. How the **** can you call what he does coaching? And if Butler was any more neutered he would try to follow the 5 feet Tomlin actually moves with the non existent headset cable.

I haven't seen an instant all season where I thought either one of them was calling defense. I can't believe the media is so ball less to not even ask who the **** is. If he had a big call sheet he could at least flush the birds away before they **** on him.

In all seriousness this bothers me. Even if you aren't calling the plays, as a head coach I would still want that in front of me.
 
You look at guys like McVay, mcdermott, Vrabel, Nagy, etc etc who at least show some emotion. Tomlin is just lost in space. You dont have to go full Cowher on someone, but at least do something.......Tomlin just stands there and stares off into space thinking of who knows what. I just dont see how people can think he is a great coach

Seriously, how in the world can neither have a playsheet? And I don't see any other assistants on the sideline with one. I think Matt Canada may have the menu to Primanti Brothers up in the booth. At least I actually hope it's that and not a list of playcalls. Emphasis on the word "playcalls", using that term very loosely.

This is a hilarious thread...lol Things have gotten so bad, you'd think the intent was to lose. Everyone looks completely lost. The game plan is no game plan.

Just too many years now of epic collapses and embarrassing playoff losses. Even the few playoff wins over the last 12 years left you shaking your head knowing that it would soon be over.

I don't recognize this team at all.

I hope the owner of the Steelers cares that the entire winning culture of his team is in ashes. It's going to take some work to rebuild it .

You can only trot out past alumni champions of the team for so long.
 
Butler is one of the last Cowher hires... I dont think he calls the defense though... I think tomlin does...

I'd be interested in what head coaches have play sheets and who doesn't regardless whether they call the plays or not. I'm going to start watching for that.
