So i watched a replay of the Texans game. Who do i see?... Kendrick Green at guard.

Texans OC got him running his *** deep downfield and into the flats. Him and that rook Center just busting *** out the second level.

And so i noticed Green rocked Holcomb, Highsmith and Roberts, multiple times. Big f*ckin gain chunk plays.

If the Texans OC keeps running Green's *** and the injury bug keeps Green in at LG, then do we see a ProBowl selection for Green?

Kendrick Green was a guard at Illinois so we draft him and the arrogant egotistical Tomlin makes him Ben’s center. As we all know Kendrick sucked as Ben’s center and should have never been put in that role. The guy at best is probably a serviceable guard which isn’t a bad thing and if our crack coaching staff had realized that much, he could at the least been a backup guard here.
No, Shades had him out of position at center then in training camp at FB. That little bit right there should tell you where we are with our coaching staff.

Kendrick Green having success as a Texan speaks VOLUMES about the current OC and OL coaching.
the guy was given a job. then relegated to the bench because he sucked. then given a second chance at a different position and sucked. then almost cut because he sucked. then traded because he sucked.

but against our DL... ****** should be sized for a gold jacket.

while our OL couldn't stop stepping on their own feet.

Like some of us have said, our OL coach is trash too and HAS to go. We are making good players worse and running an inept predictable scheme doesn't help either.

We can't JUST take play-calling away from Canada as that won't change anything.
We need a new OL coach (Munch/Stoutland) to revise the blocking scheme and fit to NEW plays. The old/repetitive ones are not fixable. We need to run a "power-centric" scheme, imo. That cannot be done with Meyer. He wants "first meaningful contact/punch" from our OL and that will NEVER work in the run-game. It never has. Run games are built on "leg-drive" and leverage. They aren't being taught that. Even "zone=blocking" schemes are built on grabbing and driving (legs/leverage). Munch taught that PLUS we had a lot of "pulls/Traps/powers" to create leverage. We could have a dominating run game with the right OL coach alone, imo. We've had some "defection" from our OL staff (Sarrett/Klemm) who "might" have been ok BU had issues with the BS Scheme coming from above them?

I was thinking the same thing. The Texans OL coach seems to have fixed him right up. So much so, that he was kicking our DL's *** all game. Our Dline was chirping at him all game, but he was the one delivering the goods and smiled the entire time. I'll bet he talked to a couple guys and mentioned how bad our OL coach is compared to what he has now!

So what you said is exactly the pansy-*** blocking scheme the Steelers employ. it's like: 'it could work' - but only if everything shakes out juuuuuuust right.

more of like a positional blocking thing.

I can't think of any coach that should be safe at this point. Besides kicking field goals, what does this team consistently do well?

Give punters a try out and roster spot.

Nice pic Steelreeling. It shows exactly what Meyer teaches. All our guys are reaching, punching or catching. Not a single one is grabbing and driving with the legs. This is exactly why we need a real OL coach to get the running game where it should be.

Tomlin found him in the OL coach scrap heap. He was desperate. He was out of a job. His wife was b!tching at him so he took the job.

The OL coach definitely has to go. All of them do on the O side. Let the new OC assemble his team. But, that's all assuming Canaduh is even gone after this year. I would not be surprised in the least to see them give him a contract extension. Not at all.

I dunno I think they know that he isn't the right fit, they are just letting that contract run out.

Exactly my thoughts. It seems like there are a lot of coaches not getting the job done. O-line Coach is pretty high on the list, right behind Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, DB Coach, QB coach, ILB Coach, and just ahead of WR coach, TE coach, and D-line coach.

The only coaches who appear to be doing a 'decent job' are the RB coach, OLB coach, and special teams.

Mike munch should return as soon as possible
But tomlin is to ignorant To make it happen
