I hope Sharknado picks up as much about life as he does about football, from troy. This is a happy feel good story as I hope it translates to the field as well.

Big news, thanks for sharing. If I ever had anything negative to say about Troy (and trust me, I worship at the feet of Polamalu), it would be that he's never really been a mentor. With Shmarko being his heir-apparent, nice to see him step up and bring this man under his wing. Hopefully, he'll show him the way to be a great man as well as a great safety.

Troy is a damn good man, I never heard anything negative about him.

Reminds me of people I come in contact with, if I get that vibe about them I am sure to complement them.

I used to say if I could be like 25% of what they stand for......... I would be accomplishing something.

Just good people, something this world could use plenty of............

The Newspaper Whose Name We Dare Not Speak reports that Shark, 5'9" 217, bull rushed Mike Adams, 6'7" 323, and drove him to the turf. Maybe that training did some good, but then we are talking about Mike Adams.

definitely needs to be graded on the curve!

I don't know, maybe it is Shamarko that did good, not necessarily Adams who screwed up. A quote from Ike:

Ike Taylor kiddingly suggests the second-year safety might fit in elsewhere on defense. “You talk about a guy 220 (pounds), running a 4.3 (40) with 6 percent body fat and doesn't mind hitting and being hit. His offseason workouts are unbelievable. He doesn't work out with the DBs, he works out with the linebackers. That's how strong Shamarko is.”

Been following Shamarko on FB since he was drafted. The guy works out like 3+ times/day most days. It also says something when Ike calls his off-season workouts unbelievable.

I hope it translates to the field. Always a positive to hear of off season workouts, thanks for the relay. :)

Waiting to see if Taylor's comment gets taken out of context, where he said "Troy is all about himself." I don't doubt for a second that Polamalu would happily mentor a younger player, especially one that is sincerely eager to learn from him, but the tone of the comment Ike made comes across like, "Troy doesn't give a **** about anyone else, he's selfish."
