Watching tOSU's Spring game and Ryan Shazier was honored on the field. He stood, which is becoming "normal" now. However, what struck me is that he he got in and out of the golf cart unassisted ... and, he was the one driving the cart. I saw him brake the cart and press the gas pedal with his foot. I'm no doctor, and definitely just guessing, but it seems the ability to manipulate the pressure on the gas pedal and brake is evidence of improved/improving nerve function in that leg.

Yes, he definitely has improved by leaps and bounds. If he can live a normal life and never plays another down of football again I’d be a happy man.

Definitely hope he can live a normal life. In the video, you can see he still doesn't have full use of his left leg. He had to lift it into the golf cart after he sat down. I sure hope he gets full use of that so he can walk and play with his kids.

I noticed that too. Let the kid heal up, be able to walk normally and become an official/unofficial ambassador for the Steelers and the City Of Pittsburgh. That's not what you could consider a "normal" life. Nor is the one he envisioned. But, it can be a damn good one!
