Now Tomlin is 42-39-1 since Riech was hired. What are we waiting for? Try to hire Sean Peyton now! If he says yes, then broom Tomlin and get him working with Pickett in 2022.

Don't yell at me, I wanted Andy Reid when he was available way back when.

You are a day late dollar short. Already been covered. I notice you didn't quote the source where you read it from. You love to try to pass other people's stuff as your own. SMH

Probably not the right spot for this, but what's JuJu's deal with Tomlin? Frustration with the Steelers wasting him the past few seasons?

Interesting that he is implying Tomlin has a hand in the way the O is run. Hmmmm

F'k Tomlin. Nuff said.

Alls he is doing is pspeaking of his past as compared to his present. If Coach Tomlin don't like it, change his coaching ways. JuJu is just expressing himself similar to the logo dancing as many here said.

Nothing against JuJu or Tomlin and decipher his comments anyway you want. Bottom line is does anyone doubt the BIG difference that JuJu is alluding to?

Why would Tomlin have coached in 8 more games than Reich over the same period?

Its obviously obvious… the past decade we moved further and further into safe, repetitive plays… we want to win games 10-6 like the 90’s or 70’s… it’s why they probably don’t fire Canada… he is giving them exactly what they want

I have no issue with what JuJu said. He is just saying Tomlin was D-oriented and Reid actually has an O mind and helps them go through things. I wish we had even an OC on the team that could do that.

Me either. It's a big nothing burger, unlike how the SN home page described it in the article. "Brutal Shot." LOL. Who writes this stuff?

JuJu's comment is a way for the Sith Sportswriters to make something out of nothing. I lived in Philly for 13 years during the Reid tenure. He's an offensive guy. Calls the plays and has the sheet in his hand on game day. Just a different way to coach.

And Philly got bored with Reid's constant winning over there too, so they booted him. I'm glad he's winning SBs elsewhere. The Philly fan base doesn't deserve it.

This is a really great piece about that. Jeff Lurie talks briefly about Andy, but it's a great perspective.

And Tomlin's a deer-in-the-headlights type of coach on gameday. Just his special way.

Philadelphia parted ways with Reid, and won a Super Bowl within five years. Then they fired Pederson, the guy who won that Super Bowl, three years later. And guess what? The new guy has them at 8-0, and they're near the top of the list of SB favorites again.

I hate the Eagles, but unlike the Steelers, they've realized that coaching longevity is vastly overrated. Sometimes, it's just time for a change. Sometimes, it's sooner than later. Yeah, the Steelers have only had 3 coaches in 50+ years. And they've also won only 2 Super Bowls in 40+ years. Whoop-de-do.

I agree sometimes it is time for a change. He is either not elevating their play, putting them in the best position to succeed, or they stopped listening. One or all, either way yeah time for a change.

To me record of course matters. But its also feel. I don't feel there is any chance Mike Tomlin is ever going to win another title here. Why? Cause he had about as good of a team as he is going to have and they lost to the Pats and Jags two years in a row. When is that coming around again? Like what exactly would it take?

The comment that they do not pay enough attention to detail is not nothing Stryker. And in Philly they dumped Reid and won a title and he won a title its a saw off. What does Tomlin get in your opinion cause I'm long done with his show.

sean peyton?

he has the same record as Mike Tomlin.

A-N-D

He missed a year due to suspention but don't fear, it was all BEN's fault........................

Payton never had a dynamic trio such as Bell / Brown / Ben either. The first two were considered Generational talent, BEN will be a HOF QB.

He had Drew Brees for his entire coaching tenure (just about, right?)

Drew retired, and that team sucked

Of course Drew Brees was the catalyst but he was a cast-off from SD when they drafted Rivers. We watched Peyton with his card calling plays for more than a decade. I'm much more confident in his abilities to build a winner somewhere else. than Tomlins.

Bell was seriously overrated. Brown was basket case and way too much me me me. He probably hurt as much as helped in hindsight.

Regardless of off field, they were elite on field. Bell / Brown / BEN yet nothing to brag home about. Two of the three turned sour after their prime, BEN finished his career here, a HOF Franchise QB.
