All,

Buff's I.T. geeks will be moving the site over from Go Daddy to Dreamhost tomorrow at 10am. So that means that the SITE WILL BE DOWN FROM 10AM. It could take a couple of hours, or it could take longer, depending on whatever mumbojumbogeekspeak happens.

So THE SITE WILL BE DOWN AT 10AM TOMORROW, MAY 8, 2015.

Feel free to email Stelerfan81 if you can't access the site at 10am tomorrow

Like I said, i donate, then the site crashes... i am expecting the worse... hoping for the best... Good luck, and remember, if anything horrible happens, Its all my fault.... LOL!

Jinx is a little late this year isn't it? I thought somewhere between March and April was the annual target date. :)

Will we still be registered or will we need to reregister like has happened in the past with all of us being FNGs again? Not complaining just curious.
 
This is part of the Jade Helm takeover, correct? May peace be with us all.
 
DNS changes, propagation can take up to 72 hours.
You may visit the site, post like normal but what you do here on the site from start of the move and until propagation will not show after DNS is reset.

So what does that mean in english? does everything that took place before the move still carry over or do we all start again with reregistration after DNS what ever that is resets.

LOL. This reminds me of some of the pranks we used to play on one of our desk Sargents when I was a cop. This is in the era prior to cellphones and the advent of 911. The desk Sargent would have to answer the phone and then tell the dispatcher who to send to what. We would all get on a different extension and dial the Sargents phone at the same time while he was on the phone with some long running conversation. When all the lights on the phone buttons illuminated he would begin to sweat profusely, and when he got to the call buttons there would be no one on the line.
 
So looks like the site won't actually be down according to Eddie. The posts made between when they begin to switch the server and when they actually activate it will be the only thing lost.
 
Well that's good, the posts will be lost but all of us we be able to hang out and shovel **** at the patriots with both hands. Then when it is glossed over we won't have to look at how miserable we are and we all get to vent.

Or, inane and absurd statements will be made because the offending party/statement maker knows that he/she will later be able to say "show me one post where I said ________________. Just one. You can't do it because I never said ________________. You just like making **** up." Or something like that :whistle:

I only remember a few guys that made comments like that and it seems the guys that are worried about it copy the damn things and save them somewhere so they will dredge them up any way.

I still prefer to PM Diamond Dave on Facebook. He loves it when we do that. And show up to see his band.

I can spout a ton of brilliance in that short amount of time. You should probably export my posts and import them into the new database to make sure.
