Go Saints!!
I'm over the Brady hate thing. The game is meaningless to me. Why hate on Brady when the Rooney's (along with the rest of the owners) swept everything under the rug?if Brady wasnt on the team I would be cheering for the Bucs. Go Saints

Gheez Stillwright, where do you get your info? It’s widely noted in various articles, Goodell was pressed to do Deflategate as repercussion for his botched Spygate investigation which brought negative attention from Congress and the Senate. The majority of the owners, primarily charter owners (or their children) Clark Hunt, John Mara, Art2 & Dan, Mike Brown, Virginia McCaskey, Sheila Hamp (Ford), Marc Davis, along with the AFC East owners, Stephen Ross, Woody Johnson Terry Peluga all made known privately to Goodell he would do an investigation (independent of him and the NFL) and the findings, if negative, they would have significant consequences to his “good friend’ Kraft. Gettimg Tom Wells to do the investigation was pyrrhic considering Goodell had Jeff Pash (Sr. NFL counsel) be the contact between Wells and the NFL. When the hammer fell, Kraft was told by Goodell there would be penalties and suspensions, in which he pleaded with the owners justifying Brady and Belichick’s involvement. Kraft was told by the owners he was close to “accept the ruling, acknowledge wrong doing by his club’s subordinates and shut up”. Which he eventually did. Kraft knew Goodell couldn’t protect Belichick, since Belichick and Goodell always had a frosty relationship, but could minimize Marcia’s damaged image later by promoting him as the Golden Boy of the NFL. Deflategate in all intent and purposes payback to Goodell and Kraft to almost having their Anti-Trust exemption removed by Congress and to remind Goodell, we put you there, we can remove you.I'm over the Brady hate thing. What exactly did I write that was false? Spygate was swept under the rug by the NFL. Deflategate was laughable.Gheez Stillwright, where do you get your info? I wouldn’t say fining a Head Coach $500k, the club $250k and forfeit their 1st round pick, sweeping it under the rug. Sure Kraft probably compensated Belichick to recover the fine, but it’s on record Belichick was knowingly violating league rules. The asterisks will always be remembered. Deflategate was laughable? Sure, to show what steps Belichick and Kraft took to prevent a full investigation. The ball boys involved were not allowed to be interviewed by NE because “they were no longer employees” (?…more like paid off to be silent). Belichick’s feint of ignorance about what they do to game balls before/during and after games? A guy who is more meticulous with all aspects of his team, that an anal retentive analytic would have a stroke. Plus the penalties for Deflategate were much more severe technically. Brady fined $1 million, and suspended without pay 4 games, NE lost a 1st round and 4th round pick….and the “cheating image” reinforced. What exactly did I write that was false? Meh......what penalties that Kraft and the Pats got was sweeping it under the rug. A slap on the wrist. They cheated for years and might still be as of a year or two ago against the Bengals I believe.....got caught again. They burned the tapes for a reason. If the public saw what was on them the entire league would have been in trouble. All the owners jumped on board for a reason. They saw their cash cow possibly disappearing right before eyes. So yes. A few fines and a draft pick as a penalty.......is sweeping it under the rug.I wouldn’t say fining a Head Coach $500k, the club $250k and forfeit their 1st round pick, sweeping it under the rug. 1+2=4 is false, “sweeping under the rug” as you indicated is more or less sanitizing what actually occurred.
