Tomlin was playing Watt when he was hurt, and Minkah when he was hurt.

Why do it when the game appears to be out of hand?

I remember the players talking about a little of that at the end of last season, like it's some big ******* deal. I'd rather a non losing playoff record every year.

HCMT is a 'players coach'. Y'falluh?

Remember when HCMT said of Willie Parker 'I'm gunnah run'im til his wheels fall off'? He risks the Steelers' best two players while injured for whatever reason as he did their best running back (at the time). I don't know what that is - stupidity, arrogance, or having no understanding of the game. Bullshit on a stick.

Anybody who makes that Parker comment has no business putting anyone at risk in any line of work. Again, to all you dumlin nuthuggers, why do you think he's a good coach.

Anything. Anything at all.

We always hear that a lot of players want to play for him.
Could it be because he doesn’t make you work too hard?

It does in hockey too. And coaches in college football get canned for much less.

We will see how the league handles the Steelers likely playing Watt the entire game with a concussion. From the stadium, I thought it was obvious when he got the knee to the face early in the game. I still can't believe the doctors didn't take Watt into the locker room to evaluate him for symptoms.
 
DKs Dailey shot had a segment awhile back addressing that “non-losing” season. He said that the front office doesn’t even acknowledge that aspect. He said most coaches don’t either.

I think us fans / media make a bigger deal oit of it than the top brass on. The STEELERS Franchise. It wouldn’t surprise me a bit as to that being the very most important of the Coach Tomlin. He seems to follow what the media has to say about him and that is reflected directly b y the players.

DK’s segment was awhile ago, 1 1/2 to 3 years ago, my memory fades.

If end of season they promote from with-in for OC, then this team will be cooked before the new season even starts. We have NO ONE qualified on the roster to be an NFL OC or even an NFL DC for that matter, OL / WR coaches as well.

I wonder what the front office thinks about the Steelers being on the verge of not winning a playoff game for a 7th straight season and only winning a playoff game in 4 of 17 seasons.

They didn't have a qualified NFL OC on the roster either the last time they promoted from within and that didn't stop them.

Ya know it’s funny that you really only hear that “players coach” applied only to Tomlin.
Never hear it used on Andy Reed, Kyle Shanahan, Nick Siriani, Shawn McVay but all they do is win.
So what does it mean players coach?
Certainly doesn’t translate into winning anything. Do the players know they can get away with stuff, ala AB, Lev Bell, DJ and young George.
Just not sure the true meaning of this over used description of Tomlin.

Tomlin is a snake oil salesman. Therefore he knows if 1 2 or 3 of his Superstars go down…he’s ******. He can’t coach around those issues. Hell…he even can’t even figure out a game plan vs opponents when the team is at full strength. It’s square peg…round hole. 17 years of his BS….and it’s always the same ****. Crap game plans…unprepared….no adjustments…taking all of the timeouts home….or burning them on stupid ****. Running all day against a top 5 run D and passing all day against a top 5 pass D. We are gonna do what we do and make other teams beat us at that. Well…congratulations Cool Shades…you’ve got that **** mastered. Now get the **** off my team.

You should listen to DKs Daily Shot TODAY, he addresses the big topic in a great way.

Refers to these last two losses, and Coach Tomlin ownership. It goes pretty pretty deep but ultimately has Coach’s Tomlin responsible. He has a better light to look at as far as explanation and who needs to hire these cordinators.

I watch DK Sports on YouTube and easy to find.

I'd say the true meaning is just what you said above, he let's them act out and do what they want. Ask yourself this question, Who was you favorite teacher in high school or college? Chances are it was the one who gave easy grades, no homework and did not give two ***** about your general education........

Same thing business wise. When leadership is complacent, and does just enough to get buy, workers develop the same habits.

Once you foster that type of behaviour, it's impossible to weed it out without having problems. From top to bottom.
