Reserve/Retired List
Retiring players can be placed on a team's reserve/retired list. This is done by some franchises to ensure that the rights of the retiring player still belong to the team should he ever file for reinstatement and return to the game. Although one of the more unfamiliar NFL reserve lists, the reserve/retired list was much discussed in 2008, after Brett Favre's first retirement. The Green Bay Packers placed him on their reserve/retired list, giving them the rights to him when his petition for reinstatement was granted on August 4, 2008.

Just copy and paste brother. **** I was as dumbfounded as the rest until I hit page 3 of the google results. LOL

After reading the explanation, my first thought was why in the hell would they have kept John Jackson on that list until he was 49? Then I thought about our backup tackles ;)

Bring Bussy back. At least he showed some emotion on the field, especially getting up after being tackled. The current crew seems to not give a ****.

Thanks, and Fernando Bryant is what really confused me from the get go

Does that mean Carnell might dress this season?

Perhaps they were like, holy ****, didn't anyone bother to clean out the retired reserves, when they dumped Bryant
