I just watched that clip like 10 times. those chants of DEFENSE were crazy, there is no way somebody just listening to the fans wouldn't have thought that was a steeler home game...

I remember an NFL Films documentary on Steeler Nation narrated by John Facenda.
The only one ever that featured a fan base.

I cant find it. It used to be on YOUTUBE.

Just a phenomenal documentary. I'd pay for a copy of it.
Talked about the people, the culture...the closing of the steel mills. Just a great video.

I love it when the offense in an away game asks for the fans to quiet down. or vice versa on defense.

This is just a genius marketing decision by whoever rakes in the game day ticket sales in Vegas. It's a destination city with relatively cheap and plentiful flights from anywhere in the country. Ticket prices for out-of-town fans are the highest in the country because they know they'll get it, and the casino's line their pockets as well. The Raiders will never have home field advantage as long as they're in Vegas, and that's just fine with the accountants.

I read somewhere that 47% of the ticket sales were steelers fans. And I'm sure that's just the out of town fans.

I got a kick out of TJ pumping up the crowd yesterday. I was waiting for them to play Renegade.

That was a home crowd for the away team.
I've been to a bunch of games in jagoffville that looked like that when the Steelers come to town.


It's a most pleasant atmosphere, minus the drunks.
