I can’t really argue much… I think Anderson might push Green off the roster but he will have to prove himself first… and I keep warning people that while Trice looks good, we do have a history of keeping vets over low round pick’s unless they really show out in pads. I wouldn’t write off Pierre just yet… though much like with Anderson, he could solidify his position with a strong camp and preseason…
I like how they used Herbig as a swing lb and kept Roche too… I’m not sure we will roll with two undersized lbs but ill concur.
Picking Mann over Presley the anointed is a ballsy move…
And at Wr after the 4 locks, any combination of Butler, Miller, Boykin and Fitzpatrick would not surprise me at all….

One other thing, I feel that the best thing for Leal is to concentrate on DE as a dlineman, but if they keep bouncing him to olb and a line position, its very likely that Roche doesn’t make it and either another DL like Adams does or they keep both Pierre and Trice..

Its screwing Heyward, really… list him as a FB or HBack… he would have an outside chance at a pro bowl at Fullback… make enough splash plays and be a good blocker.. he can do it…

Make the ProBowl at FB. I guess he has a 1 in 16th chance. Seems like good odds. Why not.
I would keep Pierre over Roche, with two rookies you really want that extra experienced body. I think Adams gets lost in a numbers game. I could see them going with 5 WRs. Maybe they keep Anderson for versatility...
I think if they intended to only keep 5 wrs, they would not have 13 on the camp roster
Maybe. I prefer their best collection when the dust clears. If that is 6WRs fine.

Look how long Derrick WATT was kept at FB and how little he was actually used.
PRO-BOWL as a STEELERS fullback seems like a very UN-probable endeavor……………

Yeap. Last chance for the kid, I think loudermilk is in a similar boat given the recent investment at Oline (Leal and benton) and his lack of minutes, though DLs always take longer to see the field and be dominant
Backup C is the one place that really doesn’t have any depth. Green does have starting experience and has had two years now to show improvement. You can’t just leapfrog a seventh round raw prospect over him without even seeing the guy in pads yet…

WR: This will be interesting given the top 4 as likely locks and a lot of different types of receivers at the bottom of the roster. Butler is a good option, I just don't know if we'll see his success translate over from the XFL for a depth piece.
OL: Kendrick Green is the obvious standout. He stunk at center, so we will need to see substantial improvement to justify a spot on the roster.
Overall, I think you can feel confident in at least 48-49 of the 53 roster spots already.

The only “sore” thumb should be Coach Tomlin’s for his miss-Q on the use of Green.

So if you're a Steeler and your name is spelled Greene as in Joe and Kevin, you are a HOF'er .
But if it spelled Green as in Ladarious and Kendrick, then you probably suck.
Qb is set and really has no real probable movement in the depth chart
RB has 2 set spots and the final spot isnt the most compelling battle.. since it will mostly be who can help on ST coverage the most
At Fb the only question is do they officially call Heyward a Fb or leave him at TE
TE only really question is can Washington surplant Gentry by week 1 or will that happen at a later time in the season
Wr there is tge top 4 then 9 guys vying for 2 spots
At T the question is will Jones start the year at LT or will he take over later maybe if they decide to keep 4 instead of just 3… that’s really it
At Guard its pretty much set.
At C cole starts… …after that it is a question mark
In theory you could move Daniels over to C post injury and insert Dotson or Herbig.
For me depth comes down to inside corner and inside linebacker. Ok with the rest of the depth options. Not sure I would give Green a Greenlight unless as you said we see obviously improvement.
IMO There is a very low chance Dotson is on the roster past camp. If no one on the roster is worthy, they will bring in a backup C. I think there is an advantage to having a guy on the roster who is focused on playing starting guard every week…

I compare this to all the “you must be a Cleveland brown” crap and OUR’s isn’t so bad…………

In this article, Dotson doesn’t make the 53. They kept Green though and that seems odd, other than the center thingy.
Unless we see a BIG improvement on Green, his *** should be gone.
Of course to keep Dotson, there would have to be some BIG improvement as well.
