Steelers +3.5 In Cleveland

The Pittsburgh Steelers will travel to Cleveland on Saturday by way of a bus trip down the Pennsylvania turnpike right onto the Ohio turnpike. It’s a trip they make west every year by bus.

The Steelers are generally heavily favored when they travel to Cleveland. But not this season. Now if you’re located in a state that has legalized gambling you could certainly be enticed to jump on the underdog Steelers. Current FD sportsbook promotions gives plenty of options for legalized gambling states. Boosted odds are just one example of how you can take advantage of betting on the underdog this week.


Now Ben Roethlisberger is 24-3-1 all time against the Browns. That’s one of the best all time records against an opponent in NFL history. Yet the odds makers still have the Steelers as underdogs.

Who will quarterback the Browns on Sunday? If I had to guess it will be Baker Mayfield. He claims he’s feeling better this week, and I’m sure the competitive nature or him doesn’t want to miss this game.

It will be interesting to see if the odds move once Mayfield is ruled in or out. I think most feel like back up Case Keenum is at the very least just as good as Mayfield. Personally I believe he’s better.

It’s going to be a hostile environment for the Steelers. The Browns beat down of the Steelers in the playoffs last year has fueled the Browns fans after two decades of losing to Pittsburgh. The Steelers must come out quickly and take control of the game and get the crowd out of the game. If they don’t, and they dig themselves a hole it may be one that easily let’s the Browns cover.

Bro...the Steelers are emphasizing run stop tackling all this bye. Ask Derrick Henry if the Steelers can shut down the run.....problem is now that the Browns sort of resemble a real NFL franchise(till they collapse again in a few years) their coaching staff might get clever and come out slinging the ball for the first half causing our staff starting with Tomlin to invoke the patented 'Deer in the headlights look' as the score turns into 20-3 Browns.
