The Pittsburgh Steelers are stuck in a weird cycle that has not occurred throughout the 21st century. The team has no playoff wins since the 2016 season, but Head Coach Mike Tomlin is said to, technically, have a lifetime contract. Things for the organization have gone especially wrong since Ben Roethlisberger retired at the end of the 2021 campaign. The quarterback position has been an issue since, and there appears to be no long-term answer just yet as most expect a 41-year-old in Aaron Rodgers to run the show in 2025. The future Hall of Famer is taking his time making a decision, however.
