Steelers bring back James Pierre

That's nice.
I'm worried we don't have any starting Nickel capable corner in the roster,

Kazee is the only one capable of defending the slot against the pass. But if you move him there's no strong safety.
Maulet played a ton of slot CB last season… Tre Norwood has gotten looks there too, but Maulet played 45% of the defensive snaps last year… mostly at slot corner…that was 3rd highest among cbs… When Witherspoon went down, sutton’s slot time decreased a bit…

Maulet was horrible in pass defense, I hope he is the 5th CB

I like Pierre's progression. Star. No chance . Maybe a solid starter. Decent chance.
i think the opposite.
Pierre did have star written all over him. But he f*cked up i think three times and the coaches benched his ***. Pierre is not very solid or consistent.

Then they they signed like 3 corners that were perhaps just as good as him at times and are much more consistent/ solid.

Good signing for backup depth - i agree Pierre is only an outside coverage guy and he needs to be way more solid/consistent.

Those 3 times when Pierre became Pepe Le Pew.

This is an excellent signing. Pierre highly underrated.

Cooch ain't happy...🤣🤣🤣

I think Pierre can help and makes us a better team, whether cooooch is happy or not.

Salute the nation

James Pierre had the 6th best rating allowed by CB's in the NFL last year.

Repeat: THE SIXTH BEST IN THE NFL.

Oh, he gave up TD passes? Ho-lee ****, cut the guy! I don't recall any other CB in Steelers history giving up TD passes.

The more i see film on Branch, the more I can see him killing it at Slot like Hilton. Guy can get after the QB FAST!

He wants to be a Steeler. Loves Tomlin and Fitz. Highly doubt that happens.

Not to downplay him in any way. Just speaking in general as far as any CB rating goes they never factor in if a corner went against a teams number 1,2,3, etc. WR. So I think that should factor in somewhat when seeing a positive or negative evaluation...

I think his game against the Iggles and Brown might rival that of Ike and Demarius Thomas, that one time that Tebow played in the playoffs; maybe my memory is off.
Other than that stinker, all good.

resigning Lamar Jackson's cousin, James Pierre, who is Lamar Jackson's cousin, was a good move to resign Lamar Jackson's cousin.

I thought Pierre was related to a famous football player. Guess not.
