Based off of the games today, will the Steelers clinch a playoff spot with a win over KC?

Yes... if they win they are at 10-5. the worse they could finish would be 10-6

kC would get a loss, so the best they could finish would be 9-7

Baltimore could finish with 11 wins, but they are in a playoff spot now. If they tied with us we would beat them on conference record anyhow

the only other non playoff teams that could finish with six wins are Buffalo and San Diego, neither of whom we played.

We have 3 AFC losses... San Diego has 5, and all six of Buffalos loses were AFC games... so yes... win next week, vs a defense that is second best vs the pass and second worse vs the run who has a pretty good run game and a lackluster passing game and we are in...

There is a very clear gameplan for the ultra conservative KC group. Its right up the steelers old school mentality too... run the ball a lot and stop them from running. Their passing game isn't as bad as its stats but its very underused. Their pass defense isn't quite as good as it plays out mostly because their run D is so bad why wouldn't you run on them. This could be a blowout, but then again we could have blown out the falcons and not loss to the Jets, saints and Bucs had we played to an opponents weakness not strengths for a half or more each game...

This is a game where shazier must start b/c all kc does is screens and only shazier can run with charles.

I read the other day that KC's WR's do not have 1 TD this year. How is that even possible? I guess they only throw to their TE's and RB's on the opponents side of the field? Hope they don't break out with 4 against us!

As long as we score 35pts our D can hold the other team to 28ish.

Theyll probably get more than that against us. The resurgence of Bowe?

Chiefs defense is good, their special teams is good...Steelers need to bring their A game. Punch your ticket now....don't wait till next week....punch your ticket now and then punch the bengals in the mouth week and take back what's ours. The ******* division. We are the owners...take it back.

who else expects the Chefs WRs to score 1-2 TDs next week?

Hint: they have ZERO on the season.

They are very conservative on offense. they actually have a good passer rating, but almost no yardage and there wideouts are simply underused. They are a pure running team and they play ok Pass D... they are terrible vs the run though, bottom 2 in the league in just about everything Run D related. This is the game to try to establish the run to open up the pass... wonder if we are too stupid to notice that or if it is 70's enough that our ancient school dimwitted staff can grasp it.

Who are the Chiefs WRs?

I remember one of them being a pretty good wideout...forgot his name....Bowe or something...

If we beat KC we clinch a Wild Card

We owe the Chiefs anyhow for last-years laydown against the Chargers that would have put the Steelers in the playoffs. Andy Reid sat half his team.

I remember that now, thanks for reminding me . Lol. ******* Chefs

Lets hope they not only offer up a winning performance but a high speed beat-down of epic proportions.

frankly I don't care if we win 2-0 or 56 to 55, as long as when the time runs down the steelers have more points than the chiefs

While all you said is true, I think the blame really falls on Ryan Succops shoulders for missing a chip shot field goal from about 28 yards out IIRC. So, I believe that Terrance Garvin should definitely get a hat and play some special teams on Sunday.

I expect the Chiefs WRs to score 2 TDs against us - But I don't care as long as we have more points than do at the end.

KC is at 17-18pts/game so they will put up 28 against us. We need 30pts to win this game. 35pts to be safe.
