MVP: Chris Boswell - The most dependable and consistent player on the team. He won multiple games for the Steelers and player on the team continues to produce and come up big in big moments. He scored 158 of the Steelers 380 points (41.6%).

Offensive Player of the Year: Pat Freiermuth - This was hard. No one stood out. Other than his huge drop on Saturday, Freiermuth delivered all year. He caught over 83% of his targets and will likely finish in the top 10 of TE reception leaders. Led all skill position players with 7 TDs

Defensive Player of the Year: Cam Heyward -A very impressive year, he got it done against the run and pass. He was just as good as his top seasons with 71 tackles, 8 sacks, and an extremely impressive 11 batted passes...I think he had three alone last night.

Rookie of the Year: Zach Frazier - Frazier solidified the center of the offensive line and probably asserted himself in the top 10 centers in the NFL already.

Biggest Surprise: DeShon Elliott - Finished 2nd on the team with 108 tackles and led the defense with 73 solo stops. Had another 6 PDs and 1 INT along with 2 FF and 3 FRs. Just an all-around impressive year.

Coach of the Year: Danny Smith - By the end of the season this is given to Smith by default. The special teams played well all year. My only gripe is we allowed teams to return the ball too often and we saw some big returns last night, but they came up with a huge fumble recovery on a punt. Shout out to Mark Robinson who is becoming quite the special teams ace.

Heyward has more pass deflections than some defensive backs. Think about that. Insane. Yet, we get to see everything he poured into this year get flushed down the ******* drain. Yesterday may very well have been #97’s last home game in Pittsburgh. There was talk about retirement last year, and I wouldn’t blame him for stepping away after the inevitable embarrassment next week.

Heyward is signed for 2 more years and just had a season on par with some of the best of his career. Zero chance he is retiring.

Agree on all those. Without Boswell, Tomlin might’ve been looking at his first losing season.

My honorable mention to rookie of the year goes to Zach’s linemate McCormack, who came in from a lesser known college and wasn’t expected to get much playing time until Daniels went down. Dude’s a mauler and like Frazier looks to only get better.

Looks good to me. Especially Elliot.though I will say Watt is still the best player on team. Banged up at end and doubled 2 plays out of three. Pretty tough. Others needed to step up.

I may place Boswell as offensive player of the year as well as MVP, he was instrumental in bringing home the Tomlinship.

Maybe Payton Wilson as surprise of the year simply because I didn’t think he’d get hardly any play time and kinda expected big things from Elliott.

Beanie Bishop would get an honorable mention for his timely TOs.

An argument could be made for Cam as surprise player of the year too, I thought he’d be improved from last year where he battled injuries but I don’t think any of us expected the year he’s having.

End of season? End of Season? season is not over Jack!!!

I might argue for Watt as the D man. But Heyward had an impressive year.

Overall a solid breakdown.👏

Cam gets come back player of the year as well. I did want him resigned, but certainly didn’t expect him to have this good of a year. You know he kind of alienated himself with a couple comments during his podcasts, but backed up everything he said with his play. It’s got to be a satisfying feeling for Cam.

I’m hopeful, but wouldn’t blame him in the least. Why beat yourself up like this (going into 36 years of age), when this team is what it is? I get the pride thing, and wanting to win (especially for his legacy), but I’m just saying that it wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

If he was gonna retire he wouldn't have taken the extension. If you had 22 Heyward types. You might be Tomlin proof. Might.

It’s an absolute ******* shame that he’s going to retire (whenever it is) with no postseason success.

Well yeah. And best Defender of a generation. These guys are going to wake up one day and say man I enjoyed the city and the team. But man I hitched my cart to the wrong horse as far as winning. JJ Watt was largely same deal (3-4 never sniffed a SB). For two mammoth talents they got sweet FA. But hey it's an offensive league.

He has about 29 million reasons to play two more seasons.

Najee grinding out another 1,000 yard season behind a bad O-line. Punishing fools and just plowing away. Many don't like him as a runner, but give him his due.

Love the optimism

I’ll take a Jack and Coke and keep em coming if I gotta watch another week of this dumpster fire.

Imma need to find a place with a bacon buffet to make this game more palatable.

Thank you for the help on deciding my pregame appetizer.
