The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to get things on track in Week 4 against the Green Bay Packers as head coach Mike Tomlin took to the media on Tuesday for his weekly presser.

“We’re playing poorly. We don’t desire to, but we are,” Tomlin said as he opened up the press conference. He highlighted the fact that the team is currently focusing on schematics and better understanding the strengths and weaknesses of each individual on the roster. He also expressed that the group needs to be “smarter” — and that is not just exclusive to penalities.

As far as injuries go, offensive tackle Chukwuma Okorafor is under concussion protocol. Wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Diontae Johnson are expected to practice this week, but be limited, and outside linebackers TJ Watt and Alex Highsmith are expected to be full participants.

Tomlin continued to take questions surrounding the upcoming game against the Packers. He highlighted Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones and Davante Adams and the challenges they bring.

Does any team desire to play poorly?

Looked like Tomlin’s impression of Josh Pray’s impression of Mike Tomlin.

I chuckle every time I hear him speak! Then, I just shake my head and ask, "What the **** did he actually say?" I then chuckle some more realizing that the media are such *** kissers, that they think he just said something important! I get a kick out of it!

His whole coaching tenure has been smoke and mirrors at the press conference. He should be a writer for a tv show.

Tomlin talks ****, period! He rambles on like he’s an intellectual and the press looks wide eyed but your left asking yourself, wtf did he just say.
Perfect example even though he wasn’t trying to be intellectual here but simply speaking in Tomlin nonsense. When asked by the press when the team was on the Bungals 11 yard line with a 4th and 10, why was a pass to Najee called 4 yards behind the los?
The genius answered “we were out of bullets.” Wtf kind of answer is that? You have no other plays in your playbook? We were out of bullets?
Keep thinking this genius will ever get this team to a SB in the future. I’ll say it again, they will never win a championship with this guy ever again. Wake up Rooney!

Low IQ head coach coupled with low football IQ is why the Steelers are in the shape they are. His ship has sailed and Ben way past his prime can't hide his idiocy and lack of coaching acumen. Grab some popcorn this season is going to be epic.

At the beginning of training camp he barely used any Tomlinisms,............................. now he's hiding behind them.

More riddles and rhymes from Tomlin.

Seems like we never hear anything about how he plans on addressing the short-falls.

" I believe deliberately we will not be looking in our rearview mirror to see the fears of our past"

Out of bullets..haha. It's as simple as telling your wr what routes you want them running past first down marker or end zone line, OL pass block, on 3. Hit the most open looking guy.

They've all been playing football since childhood. It isn't rocket science.

Tuitt won't be back until at least mid-season. With his overall situation, I would not be surprised if he doesn't play at all this year and if he does, it will be for a few games and he will be totally ineffective.

I agree with you on this but Coach Tomlin himself has said if these players don't know their position by now, I can't help them. No coaching up even if on the simplist part of their skills.

Take all the DROPs, where the hell are the self-pride receivers and the after hours JUGGs machines? Is coaching encouraging theis at all ?? Obviously EBRON isn't putting in any extra work, what about Chase Claypool ? Deonte Johnson has put in the work and it shows.

Sure these players have been doing this all their life but they still need fine tuning and that is what I'm not seeing our current Coaching staff doing. It's way to often you see a player in game situation not doing the simple stuff.

Still not taking the blame. What good is the field goal attempt late in game? Fired all my bullets and call a horrible 4th down call?

They won't win a championship with or without him at this point. Not sure our next QB with franchise level talent has been born yet although we may have a few years of high draft picks to find out.
