New Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy has made an immediate impact on the team, helping facilitate a blockbuster trade on the NFL's first day of the legal tampering period in 2026. Pittsburgh acquired Indianapolis Colts star receiver Michael Pittman Jr., along with a late-round pick swap. At 6′4″, Pittman is one of the most physically imposing receivers across the NFL, and has a skill set and route running ability that few at his size have. Pittman will team up with Steelers star receiver DK Metcalf to form a legitimate one-two combo that the Black and Gold haven't had at the receiver position in years. McCarthy's West Coast offense is known to be high-flying and often features three-receiver sets. Metcalf and Pittman can potentially take this offense to heights the team hasn't seen in recent years.
