Not sure if we can post links to them anymore. If not, please delete. Jaylin Noel would be a decent fit with GP. We do have Austin and Roman Wilson who I believe are both also on the southside of 6 foot.

I think Noel is Matthew Golden lite. Similar build, not quite as fast but still very fast, but very similar games. Golden is a better route runner, but that's not a knock on Noel, that's just a praise for Golden.

Golden is almost definitely a first round pick. Noel is hopefully still a possibility in the 2nd round but maybe not.

One latest Mock has us drafing Sanders. The circus would come full circle if they drafted him. Hollywood Tomlin.

I've seen mocks with him anywhere from 2-4. His combine numbers will prob keep him out of the 4th, and the fact that he's a dangerous return man helps his case even further. I see some people see him as a slot guy, but I think they just look at size and pigeon hole from there. I think he can play anywhere.

His workout numbers are very close to Roman Wilson, Wilson is an inch taller and 10lbs lighter but the same 40 time, 10 yard split is .01 seconds different. Bench press Noel was stronger at, not that it means much. I wouldn't hate Noel, but I would like to add more size opposite Pickens. That's why I like guys like Harris, Williams, Higgins, Felton

Here are a few more:

Steelers host Louisville QB Tyler Shough, Ole Miss DL JJ Pegues and West Virginia OL Wyatt Milum on predraft visits

Tyler Shough seems like a 3rd stringer, at best, who can be drafted in the 7th if he gets drafted at all. I am surprised they are wasting a visit on him. Maybe I am missing something with him. Pegues is intriguing but is a development project since he is pretty new to the D side of the ball. Not sure about Milum but I am guessing he is a mid or late round pick as OL is well down the list of needs in this draft, if they draft anyone at all.

He is getting talked about in the second round now. He is in the top 100 prospects in many lists. 72 on CBSSports.

2nd round for Shough? I hope the Steelers don't do that. I can see them pissing the fans off by going for Dart in the 2nd and possibly in the 1st.

Williamson has been talking up Shough. He thinks he could be a really good player.

Heard one “draft expert” on the radio yesterday that touted Shough as one of the top two QBs in this class. That’s by far the highest I’ve heard anyone speak of him, shockingly high imho…but there are obviously some out there that respect his game and the 7 years of experience he gained in college.

From David Woodley to Rob Johnson to Byron Leftwich to Mark Malone to Kyle Boller to Tim Couch to Heath Shuler to Ryan Leaf you ain't lying.
There are certainly many legitimate complaints you can make about Tomlin but to say he is any worse than most coaches trying to find and develop a QB is disingenuous at best. The league as a whole pretty much sucks at finding and developing QBs. The failure rate is astronomical.

Tomlin’s system is death to QBs
He’s the human hurdle to QB success

I would say obviously Tomlin is worse at developing QBs than the majority of coaches. As far as finding them he’s likely about average, hard to say as many things factor in there.

As far as development goes He’s easily bottom 8 with his archaic system which would be “worse than most” as there are 32 coaches. Bottom 8 may even be a generous ranking for his offensive system/QB development. I’m really struggling to think of 7 he’s better than.

Can you honestly say a HC that refuses to use almost half of the field in the passing game is above average at developing QBs?

**** even most of the success by the HoF qb was when he went rogue or was in the hurry up and was calling his own game and drawing up his own plays. And that was back when Tomlin allowed some risk in the offense…which now his butt cheeks Are puckered so tight with risk aversion to the turnover he may have cracked bottom 5 in QB development.

You have to have trust in your players and want to develop players to be above average…he has neither

It would be great if he could turn down the suck for a couple seasons.

Tomlin would have to “Unleash” hellA.

I don’t agree with it but I do understand it. When the offense isn’t performing great you try and limit the mistakes. Whether we like it or not it is a formula for winning more than you lose. It doesn’t leave any room for error on the part of the defense. Tomlin needs to turn up the trust factor and be willing to lose a few we might not normally lose to get to where we will win the ones that matter. Being a glass half full type I am going to believe he will.

I have seen enough to know how his script plays out. With the same exact results. Like I said before and will say again I am sure in the future. If there was a bet existing in Vegas of a HC that wouldn’t get his team to the SB and win it moving forward. Tomlin would be a lock. He is a lock for not reaching the SB.

Vegas won’t give you favorable odds on it as it would be money in your pocket.

No way this guy wins anything notable again in the Burgh.

There is just too many things he doesn’t do well. Too many….

Almost went there too 🤣
It’s like you’re a mind reader

He also has a way with mismanaging the QB room if an obvious HOF QB doesn’t make that job paint by numbers for him.

Had he not had said HOF QB I’m 100% sure we’re not even having these conversations as his date of expiration would’ve passed some time ago.

But if Tomlin over staying his welcome is the price a fan has to pay for all those years of Ben then I guess I’ll just have to pay up😎
