The Pittsburgh Steelers opened the 2021 season at +5000, and Vegas doesn’t think that they’re going to be any better in 2022.
Odds for the 2022 Super Bowl have opened and according to the site SportsBettingDime.com, the Steelers are +6000 to win next year’s Super Bowl. Now those odds are bound to change if the Steelers are able to get a solid starting quarterback to replace Ben Roethlisberger.
Currently the team is being linked to every quarterback that might have the slightest chance of becoming available. Today it was Jimmy Garoppolo, and Russell Wilson.
If you’re thinking about taking a gamble on the Steelers to win the Super Bowl then you better get in your bet now. If they are able to acquire a proven veteran they won’t be such a long shot any longer. The defense led by TJ Watt, and Cameron Heyward is already Super Bowl ready. They just need the offense to figure it out.
It’s unlikely that if the Steelers draft a quarterback like Kenny Pickett that Vegas would move the line. Rookie quarterbacks have still never won a Super Bowl.
The Steelers have plenty of work to do to get back into the Super Bowl conversation. Those things include fixing their putrid offensive line, filling the hole that will potentially be left by JuJu Smith-Schuster, and signing a cornerback. Whoever is under center for the Steelers is going to need a better performance from the offensive line than what was on the field this season. Running back Najee Harris will surely welcome any type of hole to run through too. Joe Haden, and Ahkello Witherspoon are free agents, and they may have to dump some of their available money into a free agent at that spot.
It’s early in the off-season though, so who gives a damn. If you’re a Steelers fan then put down a small bet, cause you never know when it could come to fruition.
