20 other people on the field and no one said a work about it all week.

Nobody seemed to care when ab called Mayock a ******* cracker.

Racism is only a one-way street.

Double standards. Just as long as whitey keeps buying those season tickets and writing those checks.

The whole race thing just pisses me off. I already hate what the product has become. Then this horseshit. It's ******* sad. Just no joy left in it. None.

Seems to just keep getting worse and worse. It's quite the world we live in these days.

So...
Now MR is not just a Racist Cracker, but a LYIN' Racist Cracker.....

Or maybe... Just maybe, someone is streeeetching the story a little.

Would be nice, if that slant was covered more in the media, since the organisation seems to want MR to put a cork in it, and shush it all away.

Once the kids learn, that they can play mom out aginst dad.... RIP

Media has only one agenda. White racism. Anything that falls outside of that they aren't interested. Nobody my color shares some mystical brotherhood unless they are my friends and family. And I have friends in all colors, shapes, and sizes. If only everyone could follow suit perhaps there would be a lot less closet racism. Unfortunately this nation wide crap is trending in the wrong direction.

The NFL investigated this alleged slur. Not one of the ref's, or players heard it on either side. The Audio didn't pick it up. Its something Myles Garrett would have likely said to his locker room friends right after the game. . He made it up. Shame on him. This is a serious charge. Anyone who makes something like this up should suffer consequences. I don't think Goodell has the stones to issue a separate ruling on this issue as this is a touchy topic, but he sure can make his helmet swinging fine as long as he wants to. The rest of the season is not enough. Keep him out a full 16 games. Screw this guy. I never root for a player to be injured to the point where he misses games, but if someone takes out this thug by accident or un-purpose when the returns to the field, I won't cheer, rather I'll call it karma.

Oh the horror of AB saying the word cracker.....The word is meaningless compared to the N-Word. Now his(AB) intent behind it is as bad a a person saying the N-Word. Let's not kid ourselves and think the words our comparable in the hurtful and ugliness that the N-Word brings when spoken.

I sure didn't care for being called a cracker while getting bullied by some black kids in school when I was young, I can tell you that much for sure. I guess it all depends on your perspective. 5 kids standing around calling you a cracker and daring you to respond so they can all beat the **** out of you at once sound like fun to you?

Thankfully as everyone matured as we got into high school, cooler heads prevailed and everyone settled down. But I sure as hell wouldn't say racial hatred is meaningless, no matter which race it's coming from. That's where you and I apparently differ.

I’ve been called a multitude of things through the years... the only time I've ever been actually offended was when I was a low level manager and was called to assist a higher level manager as she confronted a guy trying to pull a very obvious scam for a good amount of money... the dude was black. when she approached him, civilly and tactfully, about the counterfeit certificates (they all had the same serial number) he threw a tantrum and accused is both of being racist in very derogatory terms. It was absurd, of course. Both of that managers’s children were half black and she was maybe the most tolerant person that I knew. My fiancé at the time was half black, half hispanic... i had never been accused of racism in my life before that...

I can safely say if you want to offend me, call me a racist... thats about the only way to do it... Its not a term that should be thrown about lightly...

There is no word for a white person that conveys centuries of hate...doesn't lessen the racist hate that "cracker" upholds, however...the intent is clear.

Until the N-word is stopped being used by African Americans, the word will remain. The fact that cracker might have less meaning doesn't nullify AB of being racist towards a white man, it's the intent that makes it what it is. Racist is Racist, there is no degree of measure.

Agreed. It would take a complete denial of history or even some societal dynamics today to equate the two. The use of the term “cracker,” is an inadequate attempt to counter balance the use of the “n” word. The fact that it falls so woefully short is an indication of just how powerful the “n” word really is.

If Rudolph did use the term, it would explain (not excuse) Garret’s behavior, but it’s hard to buy it given the timing of the accusations, proximity of witnesses, etc. I’m not willing to say it DIDN’T happen (only two people know the answer to that), but don’t believe there is evidence to support the allegation.

Mason should be like, "I never brought up race or sexual preference or anything like that. I might have said that my girlfriend likes his poems or something."

So powerful yet they call each other it... odd.

"African American" is a retarded thing to say. Identifying an entire race of people by their assumed continent of origin. Using that convention we should all be either African American, Antarctican American, Asian American, Australian American, European American, North American American, or South American American. That would be stupid though, right?

Sorry. The word will always be around. I don't quite understand the "until the African Americans " stop using it angle. I know people that never knew a person of color and the word is just part of their vocabulary. It really isn't hard to stop using it. It is understanding how it makes some feel when they hear the term and just simply choose not to use it. I hear what your angle all the time. It is just an excuse.

You take a small few who use the term and then simply assume all or the majority use it. Simply not really how it is.

I honestly dont understand your angry over it. The term colored, black among others was used all the time. I assume african American was deemed more appropriate. And then adopted.

Just saw they fined Mason 50k. For what?

They announced he was probably going to be fined not long after it happened. Basically for scuffling with Garrett on the ground and then charging after him after getting his helmet ripped off. They will probably assert that he contributed to escalating the situation.

$50k is a ridiculous fine. Rudolph did absolutely nothing to deserve any kind of fine. If they fine him $50k, they better start fining every player that amount for instigating any type of incident when they aren't flagged on the field. Total bullshit. The NFL always finds a way to look even worse each and every week.
