Size-speed guy who hasn't done much thus far...

As it often does that ACL did him no favors. He is fast and shifty. Low risk type that could pay dividends by the time it is all said and done.

Isn’t he the guy who played Super an in the tv series? We could use Superman right now.

Beat me too it
But Dean did play ball

Cain attended Santa Monica High School, where he excelled in sports. Among his schoolmates were Charlie Sheen, who played on the same baseball team as Cain when they were children, as well as Rob Lowe and his brother, Chad. Cain graduated from high school in 1984 and attended Princeton University, where he starred as a free safety on the football team: he set a Princeton season record with 12 interceptions (in just 10 games) during the 1987 season, and finished his collegiate career with 22 interceptions in 30 games.

Also picked up a new running back Kerrith Whyte Jr. They let go LB Jayrone Elliott and RB Tony Brooks-James.

Having said that ... we are thrilled with ps players getting signed..

I am on the fence. A vet you know has done it is capable. SB teams seem to usually tweak with vets outside of special teams when injuries occur. I just think the odds are an experienced player contributes over inexperience.

I'm a bit surprised we let go Brooks-James go so soon, but such is life in the NFL. This new kid White looks more like a traditional RB, as opposed to a gadget/KR type.

Hopefully he makes the offense COME ALIVE

He seemed to have good burst speed. Keeps his feet moving on contact.

Steelers signed wide receiver Deon Cain and running back Kerrith Whyte. Cain was on the Indianapolis practice squad and Whyte on Chicago’s practice squad.

In corresponding moves to make room, the Steelers waived outside linebacker Jay Elliott and running back Tony Brooks-James. Elliott was added just before the Browns game.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Cain played in college at Clemson and was a sixth-round pick last year. He has four catches for 52 yards on 13 targets this season in seven games.

Whyte, whom the Steelers showed interest in before the draft, was a seventh-rounder this year after backing up Buffalo rookie Devin Singletary at Florida Atlantic. At 5-10, 200 pounds, he could also offer help in the return game.
