The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted TJ Watt in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, and he has developed into one of the greatest players in franchise history, as well as one of the best defensive players to ever play the game. His impact on the field is undeniable, with elite production, relentless effort, and a consistent ability to change games. However, that individual greatness has not translated into meaningful team success when it matters most. The Steelers’ last playoff win came in the 2016 season, before Watt even arrived in Pittsburgh, which is a difficult reality considering how dominant he has been throughout his career.
