Steelers trade for Malik Reed LB from Donkeys

I guess a decent depth piece. Hopefully only a 6th or preferably 7th rd pick.

Interesting.

The Donkeys were really stacked at Olb… and had to cut a good player, so they dealt him for a late round pick… good asset management… now if we would trade one of our guys in a similar deep position we could get another late round asset to fill another hole…

Solid depth (finally), that you (hope) you can put out there and he will be able to do the job adequately. Never really had that feeling with the guys they put on the field behind Watt and Highsmith last year.

So does this mean Rashed Jr to ps then snatched up as is the way with whoever the camp darling OLB/edge rush is every year.

Maybe we could keep Rashed Jr and move Truszka to ps???

Like the signing tho, good depth for late round compensation

Rashed Jr. sucked in his 2nd preseason game. He is gone. Tuszka will stay.

Looks like the Steelers sent a 2023 6th rounder, and got Reed and a 7th in return

Link didn't work for some reason

I really like this move. Reed was everything We didn’t have at backup olb..

He is a young, solid player, with very good pass rush abilities, that may have untapped potential and seems more suited to our system then where he was playing…

his 2.4 million dollar salary is palatable for his pass rush skillset.

He has primarily a backup mentality with extensive starter experience due to injuries and trades constantly opening up space for him. It’s unlikely that he is upset with playing time here…

All in all he is exactly what i hoped we would get instead of Avery

Great move...now find a decent o-line player. Make it so Khan.

ohhh Steelers just traded for a. OL Jesse Davis from Minnesota. ....yaaay...is he any good?
