Talked to Killebrew’s dad for a bit, I can tell he was pretty strict. He is contemplating relocating to Florida something to do with taxes. Told me he initially didn’t let Myles lift weights. I took it he felt he didn’t want to do it too early? I think he is in Vegas now.
Was disappointed that the indoors cafeteria was shut down, although the bookstore and bathrooms are still accessible. Good sneaky way to cool down on a hot day -dip in there for awhile. Odd as I wonder where the campus kids and players go now. Apparently off site.
So when you -if you go bring plenty of ice.
Also coming out of the gym area they have one side for the media now. Another small disappointment as it was nice to have both sides for the fans to be able to get autographs. Plus it had areas of shade as well.
Was hot when I went (first day of camp open to the public) but beautiful and scenic.
Speaking of talked to the groundskeeper and Latrobe has 200 acres of land. Was surprised a little on how much they had. Saw he was on a Z-turn which prompted conversation due to I was in the labor union for a good stretch.
They are building something out there not sure what..but it is good sized.
The store could have had more throwback options as well. Was actually one of the few times I didn’t buy anything. But ol girl bought a shirt and some socks.
