Well here we sit on yet another Saturday ......... non losing season ......... yet no guarantee for a playoff spot

we have several scenarios to get in .....

too little too late is becoming the identity of this team ...... will this year be any different ... time will tell

  • PITTSBURGH can clinch a playoff berth with:
    1. PIT win + BUF loss
    2. PIT win + JAX loss or tie
    3. PIT win + HOU-IND tie
    4. PIT tie + JAX loss + HOU-IND doesn’t end in a tie
    5. JAX loss + DEN win + HOU-IND doesn’t end in a tie

Nonstop rain, 37 degrees and 13-15 MPH wind forecast for the whole game. Heavy rain possible in the 2nd half. Harris/Warren. Muth, maybe some Mt. Washignton.

Should be an interesting game. I always root for the Steelers but I honestly would not have been disappointed if they lost their last 3 to get a decent pick. Win this and they'll be around 20 or worse for their pick. If they do win and get in, I sure hope Tomlin can finally win a darn playoff game. Getting in and giving up 40+ (like their last 3 playoff games) just does not cut it and should put him on a very hot seat but we all know it won't.

If the Rats don't have their top D players in the game, I can see both Najee and Warren with big games.

Here we are again, same **** new day, needing to win last game and getting help.
This is not my idea of success just simply mediocrity at its best.
As much as you don’t like John Harbaugh and the Ravens they do know how to do it.
They won a SB then had a couple bad seasons but drafted well and built back up again to what looks like another SB season while we just wallow in mediocrity with non losing seasons.
I like the Ravens recipe better!
Action Jackson like him or not has turned out to be a really good QB. And to think we passed on him for Terrell Edmunds not even on the team any longer.

When Ozzie Newsome was GM there, he decided to mirror the STEELERS.. There was a time when we were exactly how you described.

Unfortunately, we got a coach who took us away from our roots and into mediocrity forth-wit. The damage being done to this great franchise has entered near a no return atmosphere. Things can always be turned around but we have been having the same problems for a very long time and I’m afraid it is going to take a way deeper change than underling coach replacements.

We need an overhaul, and if Wiedl leaves, it will be that much harder.

As for getting a win today, that is very doable and actually I expect it. A play-off victory is possible as well, but definitely not a gimme or expectation.

Salute the nation

This will be a game for me without any highs or lows, the TV screen will be completely safe and the neighbors will not be wondering what the hell is going on next door.

While I will hope for a W, it honestly won't matter until this franchise moves away from the mediocracy that has overcome them.

Yea too little too late, OR, make it and get slapped around allowing 40+ points like the last THREE times we made it in. 40+ points. That's what a Shades team brings you. Last 3 playoff games:

Lost to Jags, 45-42.
Lost to Browns, 48-37.
Lost to Chiefs 42-21

If we make it in, what beautiful results await us? But Shades will remain best buddies with the players so we got that going for us.

120 minutes and counting...

I'm ready.

Currently watching the first game (from week 5) - I don't see is playing from behind like we did then...

Here we go!!!
