The Pittsburgh Steelers squeaked out an overtime win Sunday night 23-20, over the Russell Wilson-less Seattle Seahawks. The biggest takeaway for fantasy football managers with stock in the Steelers offense was that the Steelers were once again committed to the run, even though Ben Roethlisberger threw 40 passes. Najee Harris continues to be absolutely fantasy gold and more than worth his ADP. Diontae Johnson continues his run as an absolute steal in fantasy drafts. Johnson has at least 14.6 points in every game he’s played in this year. Chase Claypool had a frustrating fantasy performance, as multiple times it seemed as if him and Roethlisberger were not on the same page. Roethlisberger got you 10.86 points if you had to start him in a super flex league. The Steelers D/ST, a unit not talked about much this season in terms of fantasy production, feasted against a weaker Seahawks offensive line to the tune of 5 sacks and 15 fantasy points.

Steelers D/ST – 15.0
Ben Roethlisberger has yet to show he can be a reliable fantasy QB in any format. He played well in Week 6 to help the Steelers get back to 3-3, but that didn’t translate to fantasy points. He’s a fill-in option in two QB leagues with bye weeks coming up.
Najee Harris is already a definite fantasy superstar. His usage in both the run and passing game, mixed with his unbelievable talent is absolutely fantasy nirvana. Najee racked up 127 total yards on 30 touches, with a season high 24 carries. Najee continues to be an RB1 as his 47 carries over the last two weeks are his most over any two-game stretch this season. He is the definition of set it and forget it.
Diontae Johnson tied his season high in both targets (13) and catches (9). Coming into the week, the fantasy expectations for DJ were very high, a high volume WR vs one of the league’s worst secondaries brought in the high scoring expectations. Johnson still performed well, 9 catches for 71 yards, 1 rush for 25 yards, and netted you 18.6 fantasy points. Not quite the breakout game predicted, but still a solid performance from your fantasy WR1 or WR2 any given week.
Chase Claypool got the volume we could hope for as fantasy managers, 7 targets, his 3rd highest mark in the young season. Finishing with only 2 catches for 17 yards and no scores equals fantasy heart break however. Heading into the bye week, Claypool assumes to carry a bigger workload moving forward and into the Week 8 divisional battle with the Cleveland Browns.
Pat Freiermuth was maybe the big fantasy winner of the week. He didn’t have quite the numbers that Harris or Johnson had, but in terms of projection and the cost of acquiring Freiermuth, if you have him you LOVED Sunday night. If you picked up and stashed Freiermuth, you will hope to see an increase in target share moving forward after the JuJu Smith-Schuster news.
Eric Ebron found the endzone on a goal line carry, but produced only 10 yards on 2 catches. He continues to be unplayable in most fantasy leagues.
The Steelers offense will look to get healthy going into the bye week and continue to gel as the offensive line develops.
